This template is used on approximately 6,500 pages and changes may be widely noticed. Test changes in the template's /sandbox or /testcases subpages, or in your own user subpage. Consider discussing changes on the talk page before changing this template.

This template creates a custom userbox that indicates that you currently reside in a specific nation, state, province, territory, district, city or town.

Use[change source]

To use this userbox template, place the following line of Wikitext on your user page:

{{User lives in|location|the|alt=|region=|color=}}

where:

location is a location name.
the is an optional article to precede the location name.
alt= an optional alternate location name.
region= an optional region name or ISO 3166 code. (default = location)

color= an optional background color.

This template adds your user page to the approriate regional location category. A nocat=true parameter may be used to inhibit category declaration.
