I've always thought the pic is on the large side. I'm sure 75px was chosen so that "Nobel prize winner" can be read. But maybe we could make it smaller or even do something like this --> File:Nobel Prize Medal 2.jpg . Is it possible to add a message like "This person is a Nobel prize winner" when you hover on the pic? I think this image a lot better aesthetically. · Tygrrr... 14:26, 18 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]

I suggest waiting before making any changes. The illustration you have suggested as an alternative is under discussion for deletion at commons.--Bärliner 14:42, 18 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Makes sense. I didn't notice that it was being discussed for deletion. · Tygrrr... 17:55, 18 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Size change[change source]

I am making a bold change so that this fits into a line, it is pushing quite a few articles down the page as it is now, which could be quite an issue for people with smaller screen resolutions. Any problems, don't hesitate to revert me. neuro(talk) 07:01, 28 November 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Made into a two liner now. neuro(talk) 08:59, 29 November 2008 (UTC)[reply]

"This is a very good article"?[change source]

I can't figure out why based on looking at this template, and this template may not even be the main culprit, but articles with Nobel Prize winners (i.e. Pierre Curie or Barack Obama) have this Nobel Prize image at the top right of the articles, and if you mouse over them, it says "This is a very good article". Not all of these articles have been rated "Good" or "Very good" articles, and I would suggest changing this, but I can't figure out why this is happening. Kansan (talk) 03:12, 14 March 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Hmm. That's not happening for me. When I mouseover the template on the two articles you've provided link to, a pop up with the Nobel Prize article comes up. Lauryn (utc) 04:32, 14 March 2010 (UTC)[reply]
If you disable pop-ups, you'll see what Kansan is seeing. I just did and got the same result. I do not see anything in the code for this template that would cause that to happen, though... Either way (talk) 04:39, 14 March 2010 (UTC)[reply]
Well, I'll let you two handle it then. Cheers, Lauryn (utc) 04:40, 14 March 2010 (UTC)[reply]
Turns out it was missing the "caption" parameter. Feel free to tweak the caption to whatever you wish. Cheers, Lauryn (utc) 04:47, 14 March 2010 (UTC)[reply]
Yup, you beat me to that (I ec'd with you as I was adding a caption). It deals with this template's usage of {{icon}} whose default caption is "This is a very good article." Problem should be solved now, Either way (talk) 04:49, 14 March 2010 (UTC)[reply]

1) there is no such prize as the "Nobel" prize in economics, it is the "Bank of Sweden Prize in Economic Sciences in Memory of Alfred Nobel"; indeed even the Nobel Institute recognizes this and simply calls it the "Prize in Economics", and not the "Nobel Prize in Economics". This template must reflect this. Alfred stated no such prize in his will. It may be given along-side the Nobel prizes, but it must be dealt with seperately; 2) the prize in medcine is actually the "Nobel Prize in Physiology or Medicine", not just "Medicine". fr33kman 05:18, 14 March 2010 (UTC)[reply]
