What does “Im”mean in Level 4im? From, Gale5050 (talk) 13:36, 22 March 2020 (UTC)[reply]

@Gale5050: Immediate I guess?Camouflaged Mirage (talk) 15:45, 22 March 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Oh, so it goes to Level 4 immediately? Why is there no 3im or 2im? @Camouflaged Mirage: Gale5050 (talk) 15:46, 22 March 2020 (UTC)[reply]

@Gale5050: 4im is used only in severe cases of obvious vandalism. Otherwise you should start with level 1 and work your way up to the normal level 4 if the vandalism continues. It is very important that we are careful using 4im warnings and that we always assume good faith because if we don't, it might discourage new editors. If you have anymore questions, please don't be afraid to ask. Cheers --Examknowtalk 16:08, 22 March 2020 (UTC)[reply]
Usually we go 1, 2, 3, 4, report for a block. When the vandalism is quite bad, periodically we start at 2 or 3. If it's obvious that they're not here to contribute in any way, and the vandalism is really bad, we may immediately go to a final warning, which has its own template, 4im. Ok, so 4im is when we instantly go to a 4? Could it also be used when you go from a 1 instantly to a 4, or is that a regular 4? Also, would a 4im be used for someone like me who got blocked on 2 other Wikipedia’s, or would I begin on a 3? Gale5050 (talk) 16:17, 22 March 2020 (UTC)[reply]
