Suggestion[change source]

Maybe the version with the one strike notice should be on a subpage of this? I find it strange welcoming users who are in very good standing on the English Wikipedia with "if you are blocked on English Wikipedia, you need to follow ONESTRIKE!" --Ferien (talk) 17:50, 14 June 2021 (UTC)[reply]

@Ferien It is all covered in the template already :) PDLTalk to me!OMG, What have I done? 17:58, 14 June 2021 (UTC)[reply]
@PotsdamLamb: I don't think the one-strike notice should be on the main welcome template, we should have it on a subpage and we should word it very carefully. Maybe we should create a completely separate template, a one-strike notice would be appropriate, like our {{AN-notice}} (administrators noticeboard discussion notice). struck per below --Ferien (talk) 18:31, 14 June 2021 (UTC) Djsasso has just removed the one-strike part from the welcome. --Ferien (talk) 18:30, 14 June 2021 (UTC)[reply]
I removed it, because such a message does not belong on a welcome template as it is very WP:BITEy when the vast majority of editors are in good standing. You should not be using templates to warn about onestrike anyways. -Djsasso (talk) 18:26, 14 June 2021 (UTC)[reply]
