Tha Block Is Hot is a studio album by Lil Wayne. It is his first on a major record label. The album was supported by two singles: "Tha Block Is Hot" (featuring B.G. and Juvenile) and "Respect Us".

Tha Block Is Hot entered the US Billboard 200 chart at number three and sold 229,500 copies in its first week.[1][2] In its second week, the album dropped to number ten on the chart and sold an additional 117,000 copies.[3][4] On December 10, 1999, the album was certified Platinum by the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA) for sales of over a million copies.[5] As of June 2012, the album has sold 1.4 million copies in the United States.[6]
