The Amazing Spider-Man is a 2012 American superhero movie by Marvel Entertainment and Columbia Pictures. It stars Andrew Garfield and Emma Stone. It is a reboot of the Spider-Man movie series. It was released in the United States in 2012.

It is about Peter Parker in high school while his super powers are evolving. A sequel, The Amazing Spider-Man 2, was released in 2014.
Plot
[change | change source]Abandoned by his parents and raised by an aunt and uncle, teenager Peter Parker (Andrew Garfield) is trying to figure out why his parents left. When Peter finds a mysterious briefcase that was his father's, he tries to figure out what it means. His search takes him to Oscorp and the lab of Dr. Curt Connors who created a genetically engineered spider which bites Peter Parker and gives him superpowers. After his uncle Ben Parker is murdered, Peter becomes a Superhero called Spider-Man. Peter falls in love with Gwen Stacy whose policeman father hates Spider-Man. Dr. Connors transforms himself into a Supervillain called The Lizard and Spider-Man stops the Lizard from turning everyone in New York City into a Lizard.
