The Awful Truth

The Awful Truth is a 1937 American romantic comedy movie directed by Leo McCarey and was based on the 1923 play of the same name by Arthur Richman. It stars Cary Grant, Irene Dunne, Ralph Bellamy, Alexander D'Arcy, Cecil Cunningham, Esther Dale, Joyce Compton, Molly Lamont and was distributed by Columbia Pictures. It was nominated for 6 Academy Awards and won an Oscar in 1938.
