The Curse of Quon Gwon
The Curse of Quon Gwon is a Chinese American silent film.[1] It is the oldest known Asian American film.[1] It was completed in 1916.[2][3] The producer of the film was Marion E. Wong.[4] The Curse of Quon Gwon is a film about a family who are cursed for beginning to accept Western culture.[5]

Wong and her family made up the cast of the movie.[4] [6] Wong played many parts in the making of the film.[4] [7] She was the director of the film, the main villain, costume designer, and the producer of The Curse of Quon Gwon.[4] [7] Wong got financial help from her uncle.[6] [7] Wong’s sister-in-law, her mother, and her niece were all part of the cast, as well as many more. [4][7][8]

The Curse of Quon Gwon used to have 7 reels, but only 2 survived.[1][4][6] Because of this, the movie is 42 minutes long.[4] On July 21, 2005, the reels were released.[1]

The film company went bankrupt after making the movie.[6]
