The Island

The Island is a 2005 science fiction action thriller movie directed by Michael Bay. It stars Ewan McGregor, Scarlett Johansson, Djimon Hounsou, Sean Bean, Michael Clarke Duncan, and Steve Buscemi. The movie is set in a dystopian future, where people are confined to a strictly regulated facility and led to believe that the outside world is contaminated and only a sanctuary known as "The Island" remains safe. The movie's screenplay was written Caspian Tredwell-Owen, Alex Kurtzman and Roberto Orci, from a story by Tredwell-Owen.
