The Mission (1986 movie)

The Mission is a 1986 British drama movie about the Jesuit missionaries and native Americans in 1750s South America on the border of the Portuguese colony of Brazil and the Spanish colony of Paraguay.[1] It is directed by Roland Joffé and written by Robert Bolt. The movie stars Robert De Niro, Jeremy Irons, Ray McAnally, Aidan Quinn, Cherie Lunghi, Ronald Pickup and Liam Neeson. The now famous Academy Award–nominated music was composed by Ennio Morricone.
