The Only Way Is Essex
The Only Way Is Essex (often known as TOWIE) is a BAFTA award-winning television soap opera. Based in Essex, England, it is a 'scripted reality' show. It has "real people in modified situations, saying unscripted lines but in a structured way".[1] The show is filmed just a few days in advance. Each series lasts six weeks. Series 1 started on 10 October 2010.
It is narrated by Denise van Outen, who is from Basildon, Essex. Series 1-9 have been shown in Australia. Series one has been shown in South Africa.
