The Painted Veil is a 2006 romantic drama movie that was directed by John Curran. It was based on the 1925 novel with the same name. This is the third movie version of the novel the first in 1934 and the second in 1957 called The Seventh Sin. This movie won a Golden Globe Award for Best Original Score in 2006.
