The Violent Sleep of Reason is the eighth studio album by Meshuggah. Meshuggah is a Swedish experimental metal band. The album was released on October 7, 2016. It had one single, "Born In Dissonance". Another song from the album was nominated for a Grammy Award.[1] This song is named "Clockworks".
Loudwire and Rolling Stone said it was one of the best heavy metal albums made in 2016.[2][3] It is one of their highest charting albums.[4][5]
