The adventures of the American rabbit is a 1986 animated comedy musical movie released on January 17, 1986. It follows over in American rabbit, who journeys far and wide to look for a true place in the world. The film was released on VHS in the UK and on DVD, then in the US.

an American rabbit live with its family in a special den, guarded by a human camp. An old rabbit comes to visit the family, claiming himself to be the long lost grandfather. One day, the human camp, celebrate by setting off fireworks, one of them that causes a fire in the rabbits den. The American rabbit manages to escape, while its family is separate from him and leave. Recognizing the fireworks, he decides to go look for his own fireworks.

The American rabbit first sends a bottle and ends up, getting stuck in it, traveling through the ocean and braving storms. At last, he reaches the city (‘’’Amazing Lights’’’). He reaches a nearby place where a panda is hostile to him and refuses to let him in. However, after he has saved from a giant boulder falling on him, he thanks the rabbit and allows him to stay in his house, we’re a bunch of pandas live (‘’’Panda House’’’).

The next morning, the rabbit discovered that the same fireworks are there. He gets out of his home and walks under a ladder, causing the person who is painting to drop red and blue paint all over him. This leads to a badger, who had actually been the painter, to cause a chase to be around town, causing havoc. However, the rabbit enjoys the red, white, and blue paint and calls himself American rabbit. Last, the badger catches him and threatens to put him in a bucket and leave him encrusted, but after the American rabbit explains him about the crazy fireworks (‘’’More than the light’’’), the badger decides to let him go. He takes me to a train station where there are able to find the same fireworks, and the rabbit causes a spark, that ignite a fire, which gets the train moving. While riding the train, a mall who is trying to lift his rock accidentally causes the train to break, plunging them into the river and leaving them off course (‘’’Train in da sea’’’). After drying themselves off after a crazy underwater musical sequence, the badger and rabbit are surprised to find that the fireworks were actually the Fourth of July fireworks, which means that the American rabbit was born on the Fourth of July fireworks. A mouse named joe, who shares his habit of making bread (‘’’When bread gets you down?’’’), reveals that he is hosting all the July party and every animal must attend. The Fourth of July rabbit decides to go, but the mouse forbid him, due to that he did not include a streak of his purple shirt. However, the rabbit sneaks into the party anyways.

During the party, the rabbit sits on the fireworks and starts to enjoy the ride. The badger tries to pull him off, but he kicks him in the face and suddenly is launched. A noisy Gorilla gets all the animals to look, and the rabbit flies in the fireworks. At last time when the fireworks explode, it ignite a fire that the rabbit, jumping into a stream to get rid of it (‘’’Hot Pan’’’). After the last the fire is extinguished, the leader of the fireworks, which is actually the old rabbit and its family, call him the Fourth of July rabbit, crediting him. This causes the badger to faint (‘’’Im feeling whoozy!’’’).

The film ends with the Fourth of July rabbit being credited for the Fourth of July, leading in a parade. Just then, a bucket of water splashes all over him, washing off the paint and revealing his self. Despite this, the American rabbit throws himself on red, white and blue paint, and says, “To HAIL ME!!” in joy, being let down the streets (‘’’End Title/Best Act of Show!”’’’).
