Thomas A. Wiseman Jr.

Thomas Anderton Wiseman Jr. (November 3, 1930 – March 18, 2020) was an American politician and lawyer. From 1964 to 1968, he was a member of the Tennessee House of Representatives. Wiseman Jr. was Tennessee State Treasurer from 1971 to 1974. He was a United States District Judge of the United States District Court for the Middle District of Tennessee from 1978 to 1995, being nominated by President Jimmy Carter.[1]

Wiseman Jr. was born in Tullahoma, Tennessee. He studied at Vanderbilt University and at the University of Virginia. Wiseman Jr. died on March 18, 2020 in Nashville, Tennessee at the age of 89.[2]
