Tim Severin

Tim Severin (25 September 1940 – 18 December 2020)[1][2] was a British explorer, historian and writer. Severin was awarded both the Gold Medal of the Royal Geographical Society and the Livingstone Medal of the Royal Scottish Geographical Society. He received the Thomas Cook Travel Book Award for his 1982 book The Sindbad Voyage.

Severin died on 18 December 2020 in Cork, Ireland at the age of 80.[3]
