Tom Ellis (born 17 November 1978) is a Welsh actor. He is known for playing Dr. Oliver Cousins in the BBC Television soap opera EastEnders and Detective Sergeant Sam Speed in a Life on Mars parody on The Catherine Tate Show. He starred as Sam in the BBC comedy Pulling and he played Gary in the BBC2/BBC1 comedy Miranda.[1] He is best known in the United States for two American TV shows in which he played the title character, Rush[1] and Lucifer.[2]
