Tom Smith (rugby union)

Tom Smith (31 October 1971 – 6 April 2022) was an English-born former Scotland international rugby union losehead prop. He played for Glasgow Warriors, Caledonia Reds and Northampton Saints and also represented the British and Irish Lions. He was a rugby coach. Smith was born in London.

In November 2019, Smith was diagnosed with terminal colon that metastasized spread to his brain and liver.[1] He died from the disease on 6 April 2022, aged 50.[2]
