Tom and Jerry: The Forbidden Compass or Tom and Jerry: Astrological Encounters (猫和老鼠：星盘奇缘) is a 2025 Chinese-American co-production computer animated science fantasy comedy film directed by Zhang Gang. produced by Origin Animation and co-produced by Warner Bros. Pictures and China Film Group. the film was distributed by Wuzhou Film Distribution and the US by Ketchup Entertainment in VOD. as the 18th installment of the Tom and Jerry film series.
Plot
[change | change source]During a chase in a museum, Tom and Jerry accidentally activate a magical compass that transports them to another world. On their journey home, they meet a group of new companions and become embroiled in a conflict against mysterious forces.[1]

[change | change source]This film was animated in August 12 to September 9, 2024 by Origin Animation, as well all voiced actors recording by Studiopolis. the Americanized edit over 12 minutes of footage for pacing reasons, then limited trimmed by 103 minutes to 92 minutes long and produced by Sam Register and literally distributed by Ketchup Entertainment themselves.
