Top Gun: Maverick is a 2022 action drama movie directed by Joseph Kosinski from a screenplay by Ehren Kruger, Eric Warren Singer, and Christopher McQuire and story by Peter Craig and Justin Marks. The movie stars Tom Cruise, Miles Teller, Jennifer Connely, John Hamm, Glen Powell, Lewis Pullman, Ed Harris, and also Val Kilmer.

The movie is a sequel to Top Gun (1986) and Cruise and Kilmer reprise their roles for the movie.

During COVID-19 pandemic, the film was scheduled on July 12, 2019. But Top Gun: Maverick was re-scheduled in December 22, 2021. on Paramount+. The films was eventually released in theaters on May 27, 2022.

The film received extremely positive reviews from critics with a 97% on Rotten Tomatoes. Some even argued that the film was better than its predecessor Top Gun.
