Tosu (鳥栖市, Tosu-shi) is a Japanese city in Saga Prefecture on the island of Kyūshū.
History
[change | change source]In 1874, disagreements with the central government of Japan became an armed conflict. This was called the Saga Rebellion (佐賀の乱, Saga no ran).[1] This involved regions of the modern city.
- March 12, 2011 — opening of the Shin-Tosu Station (新鳥栖駅, Shin-Tosu-eki) which is operated by Kyushu Railway Company (JR Kyushu).[2] The design won an international award.[3]
