Trevor Winkfield

Trevor Winkfield (born 1944) is a British-born artist and writer.

Winkfield was born in Leeds, England in 1944.[1]

He studied at the Leeds College of Art. He received an M. A. from the Royal College of Art in London.[2]

He moved from London to New York City in 1969. He is connected to the New York School of poets and painters.[3]

Critic John Yau has said, "He never bought into the idea that art should be universal, on the surface, or understood immediately."[3]
