UC Browser

UC Browser is a mobile web browser. It was banned in India in 2020 for privacy issues[1] and also banned in China in 2021 due to complaints of showing deceptive medical advertisements.[2]

UC Browser was originally developed for Java ME smartphones in 2004 by UCWeb which is a subsidiary of the Alibaba Group. It is now available for Android, iOS, BlackBerry OS, Java ME, Symbian, Windows Phone, and Microsoft Windows platform.[3]
