Thinkboxing was first described as a personal development skill by Clive Bevan in his book 'Thought bubbles and Thinkboxing' published in 2006.

This concept was further developed in to a change model that describes the change process as fractal in that whilst organisations change one thinkbox at a time, the organisation has a memory that has developed over time at a group and organisational level.

Unblocking for change at a Me level with a variation on the Gestalt model can then be applied to understanding how Departmental and Organisational thinkboxes can be unblocked for Change.
