The 2016 European Women's Handball Championship is being held in Sweden from 4 to 18 December 2016. It is the second time that Sweden hosts the tournament, after it also hosted the 2006 European Women's Handball Championship.
Sweden was awarded the championship on the EHF Congress in Monaco on 23 June 2012.[1]
