Hans Cappelen (full name Hans Arne Kristian Torolf Cappelen and born 1945 in Porsgrunn, Norway) is a Norwegian lawyer and heraldist, writing on Norwegian Wikipedia about heraldry, some genealogy and law.

Hans Cappelen is a partner in law firm Hartsang in Oslo, Norway, a former president of Norsk Heraldisk Forening, a board member of Societas Heraldica Scandinavica and a member of the international academy of heraldry. He has written several books on heraldry and building law.
