Hello, Pending, and welcome to the Simple English Wikipedia! Thank you for your changes.

You may want to begin by reading these pages:

For some ideas of pages to work on, read Wikipedia:Requested pages or the list of wanted pages.

You can change any pages you want! Any changes you make can be seen right away. You can ask questions at Wikipedia:Simple talk. At the end of your messages on talk pages, please sign your name by typing "~~~~" (four tildes).

If you need help just click here and type helpme and your question and someone will reply to you shortly.

Good luck and happy changing!

Also, I replied to your message here: Wikipedia:Simple_talk#All_colors_available Kennedy (talk) 17:17, 3 December 2013 (UTC)
Furthermore... I have fixed your button to leave a message. You must have forgotten to change the code when you stole borrowed it from Beefball :) Kennedy (talk) 17:20, 3 December 2013 (UTC)
Yes sorry. I have meant to leave him a notice message. If he does not approve that i am using it, I will get rid of it. Thanks!Pending(tell me I screwed up and where) 18:18, 3 December 2013 (UTC)
Do feel free to use "my" code, but most of all, have fun editing! --Beefball Talk 18:40, 3 December 2013 (UTC)
Thanks a lot Beefball! It seems that people on Simple English Wikipedia are nicer than Wikipedia!Pending(tell me I screwed up and where) 19:08, 3 December 2013 (UTC)

Signature[change | change source]

You will want to fix your signature. I had to move one of your pages that wasn't at a valid title. It is now at User:Pending/contributions. -DJSasso (talk) 20:36, 3 December 2013 (UTC)

Thanks, and sorry for the inconvenience!Pending(tell me I screwed up and where)
Its still broken (where I've seen it anyway), I think your code should be: <font color="skyblue">Pending</font><font color="lightgreen">(tell me I screwed up </font><font color="lightgrey">and where)</font> - Hope this helps :) Kennedy (talk) 12:43, 4 December 2013 (UTC)
I thought I had it fixed, but I guess not. Thanks for the code! I'm surprised that you would take time to create it for me. Glad to know there are still plenty of nice people around. --Pending(tell me I screwed up and where)
Don't worry about it, when you edit the page you get to see the code for the signatures and I just edited a wee bit. No hassle :) Kennedy (talk) 14:58, 4 December 2013 (UTC)

Welcoming[change | change source]

Hey great to see you editing again today. Just wanted to let you know that we generally discourage welcoming new users until they make a few edits because some people feel it is spammy and if they don't end up doing any edits them you have created a page that won't be used for anything. Anyways just wanted to let you know before you got to far into welcoming new users. -DJSasso (talk) 14:36, 4 December 2013 (UTC)

I see. So sorry. It won't happen again. Pending(tell me I screwed up and where)

Vandalism[change | change source]

Please be careful in monitoring vandalism, tagging articles for quick deletion, and warning users. See Wikipedia:Warn#Warnings_and_notices for the various types of warnings we use on Simple English Wikipedia to warn users of vandalism on their talk pages. I'm not too sure what templates you're trying to add, but they are not fully working here. Also see this page for a list of the reasons we use for quick deleting pages. Things like "not useful" are not actual reasons for deletion. If you think something is "not useful", see if it meets one of the QD criteria first, if it does not, either edit the article to make it useful, or take the article to requests for deletion. Please let me know if you have any questions. Only (talk) 21:21, 4 December 2013 (UTC)

On a related note: can you please remove the "amusing vandalism" section from your user page? We don't like to give recognition to or "celebrate" vandalism in any way. See this essay on the English Wikipedia which relates to it. We like to "Deny recognition" to vandals. Only (talk) 22:16, 4 December 2013 (UTC)

See new Section on Vandalism (I am even creating my Anti-Vandalism headquarters). Pending(tell me I screwed up and where)

Okay, I suggest you hold off on that. It's clear you don't know how to deal with vandalism yet. You reverted this edit which was correct to do, however, you then welcomed that user to Wikipedia. You should have warned them instead. Please only welcome productive users. Also, please make sure you put subst:welcome in the {{'s. The template should be substituted. So, please focus on learning how vandalism works around here before making your "headquarters." There's no need for a "headquarters." Only (talk) 22:34, 4 December 2013 (UTC)

Well, to be technical there is a welcome template for use with vandals, welcomevandal, but it really just functions as an extended first warning. Welcome should not be used, though. TCN7JM 22:38, 4 December 2013 (UTC)
Thanks for the tips guys! Pending(tell me I screwed up and where)
It may help if you enable Twinkle, which makes it easier for you to choose and put the correct welcome or qd template. Beefball Talk 17:37, 5 December 2013 (UTC)
He wanted to do that a while ago, but he isn't autoconfirmed yet. His account is brand new. TCN7JM 23:21, 5 December 2013 (UTC)

what's'bad?[change | change source]

where alphabetic ordering and sentence intonating is vandalism? 66.90.101.228 (talk) 16:52, 5 December 2013 (UTC)

It is not vandalism, but it is unneeded and only adds to the article. Remember that this is the Simple English Wikipedia. The simpler the article the better.Pending(tell me I screwed up and where)
Also, please sign your comments with three ~.----Pending(tell me I screwed up and where)
Actually ~~~~ would output a suitable signature with the IP and the timestamp. Three ~~~ (tildes) would output as the username and talk page link only. --Glaisher [talk] 16:56, 5 December 2013 (UTC)
User:Glaisher is right. I have gotten into the habit of using three, but the correct way to sign is with four.--Pending(tell me I screwed up and where)

Quick deletion of Amctv.com[change | change source]

The page you wrote, Amctv.com, has been selected for quick deletion. If you think this page should be kept, please add wait below the line QD and say why on the talk page. If the page is already gone, but you think this was an error, you can ask for it to be undeleted. You can find more information about the reason here. Beefball Talk 17:16, 5 December 2013 (UTC)

Hello, Pending. You have new messages at Beefball's talk page.
You can remove this notice at any time by removing the Talkback or Tb template.

Substitute please[change | change source]

When you use a template to warn a user, please make sure you substitute it. So, type . User warnings and welcomes should always be substituted onto the user's talk page. Only (talk) 21:42, 5 December 2013 (UTC)

Understood.Pending(tell me I screwed up and where) 21:43, 5 December 2013 (UTC)
Again: please remember to substitute. Only (talk) 00:33, 6 December 2013 (UTC)

Cookies[change | change source]

Kennedy has given you some cookies! Now enjoy them!

For throwing yourself in and taking our advice in your stride; enjoy these cookies :) Kennedy (talk) 23:07, 5 December 2013 (UTC)

Tsunami[change | change source]

(AGF) [1] How is this related to tsunami? --Glaisher [talk] 14:54, 9 December 2013 (UTC)

This revert was done by accident. I was going to revert an edit on the page, which had apparently already been done, so I must have accidentally reverted your edit. Sorry. Pending(tell me I screwed up and where)
Thanks you for fixing it. --Glaisher [talk] 14:59, 9 December 2013 (UTC)
No problem. Also, if you beet me again to a revert, I'll have to give you some kind of reward. Every time I go to revert something it says...This article has already been reverted be Glaisher. Nice Work! Pending(tell me I screwed up and where)

Rollback[change | change source]

Per here I've granted rollback. Take my advice given on that page. I'll be watching. :) Kennedy (talk) 22:08, 9 December 2013 (UTC)

Consider this your own warning re: your rollback usage. This rollback you made was not rolling back vandalism. If you use rollback again to revert non-vandalism, your right will be removed. Please be more careful in the future. Only (talk) 17:14, 10 December 2013 (UTC)
IMO, this would be a good faith test edit. Jianhui67 talkcontribs 17:35, 10 December 2013 (UTC)
What do you mean User:Jianhui67? — Preceding unsigned comment added by Pending (talkcontribs)
A good faith test edit is made when a user is new and may not know the policies. Thus he made those test edits (scribbles). This edit should be treated with good faith and should be reverted with the Twinkle AGF button. Jianhui67 talkcontribs 19:12, 10 December 2013 (UTC)

You screwed up[change | change source]

Not really, but what did you mean to do here? The article only has an introduction, so... its contents don't need to be summarised. Do you mean that the article needs to be expanded? It already has a stub tag at the bottom. Osiris (talk) 08:28, 10 December 2013 (UTC)

I did not see the stub tag about the article at the bottom. I will get rid of the tag. Sorry for the inconvenience, it wont happen again. Pending(tell me I screwed up and where)
Ta. Let me know if you need any help with any of this sort of thing. Osiris (talk) 00:07, 11 December 2013 (UTC)

Hello[change | change source]

Where did I go wrong?

First, please sign your name with four ~. This will give me your username, talkpage, and time. Before creating a page I suggest you use your sandbox. This is a place where you can create articles and test them before submitting them as actual articles. Also, please read the pages linked on the welcome template that I placed ed on your talk page. Pending(tell me I screwed up and where) 13:33, 10 December 2013 (UTC)

Please sign![change | change source]

You forgot to sign some of your recent talk page posts, such as this one. Please sign them by putting four tildes (~~~~) at the end. It might seem like a small thing, but when we see people not getting the small things right, it makes us wonder whether they would get the big ones right. Thanks. --Auntof6 (talk) 18:07, 10 December 2013 (UTC)
