Block this IP?[change source]

Hello. Due to my account being locked, can this IP address be blocked for a short time (1 week or 1/2 week)? My IP is not shared, and is only used by me. My new account can be left unblocked. --46.227.72.65 (talk) 16:37, 9 March 2018 (UTC)[reply]

User identity[change source]

Please do not use another editor's identity when you make changes, as you did on Comparison between Russia and United States. Even if you are a registered editor who is editing while logged out, we do not assume that edits from an IP address are always by the same person. The IP address associated with a registered editor can change, even if they think they will always have the same one. Thanks. --Auntof6 (talk) 07:08, 18 March 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Hello. I must only warn that this IP address will sometimes take in place instead of my username (Psl631) in talk pages, I will sometimes appear logged out while using Twinkle, which will result in this IP address appear instead of my username. Please fix the issue with my account so this IP address no longer appear instead of my username.--Psl631 Talk Contributions 07:13, 18 March 2018 (UTC)[reply]

@Psl631: It does little good to put this request on a user talk page: Few people, if any, would see it. Even if you use {{helpme}}, not many people will see it, because that is used so seldom that people don't check it much. I recommend asking for help at WP:ST where many people would see your post.
One thing, though: for privacy and security reasons, it's usually a bad idea for a registered user to say what their IP address is. You might want to ask the question without mentioning the specific IP address, and remove it from anywhere that you've mentioned it. --Auntof6 (talk) 07:34, 18 March 2018 (UTC)[reply]
