Welcome[change source]

Welcome to the Simple English Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia! Thank you for your changes, especially what you did for John Tyler. I hope you like changing pages here. Here are some pages that can help you make better changes:

You do not need to log in to read or change articles on the Simple English Wikipedia. However, making an account is quick, easy and free. It also gives you many benefits such as:

  • A username of your choice
  • Your own user page and/or subpage(s)/sandbox(es)
  • Other users can send you e-mails without knowing your address
  • The ability to move (rename) pages
  • The ability to vote in discussions
  • Keep a watchlist to see changes made to pages you are interested in.
  • You do not have to be confused on to whom any warnings are referring to.

You can click here to make an account.

I hope you enjoy your time here. Please sign your comments on talk pages by using four tildes (~~~~). This will make your IP address and the date show up on the page. If you decide to log in, your username and the date will show up instead. Again, welcome, and I hope you decide to stay! Krett12 (talk) 01:15, 10 December 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Your recent changes, like those to United States presidential election, 2008, are vandalism and are not acceptable on any Wikipedia. Please stop. If you continue vandalizing, you will be blocked from changing pages on Wikipedia. Macdonald-ross (talk) 13:16, 27 December 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Those are the actual results. Those numbers equal to each other. It is not vandalism. The other warnings are also not vandalism. The pages needed to be updated. 75.141.110.181 (talk) 18:33, 27 December 2015 (UTC)[reply]

What is your source for those numbers?   — Jeff G. ツ 22:31, 27 December 2015 (UTC)[reply]

My source is the English Wikipedia. 75.141.110.181 (talk) 01:51, 28 December 2015 (UTC)[reply]

  • I have now re-checked the pages on the two wikis (English and Simple). Although the tables are somewhat different in construction, the figures now seem to be the same. This means that your edits were correct. I apologise for suggesting you were vandalising, and for causing you the inconvenience of having to repeat your edits. Thank you for spending time on our wiki. Macdonald-ross (talk) 15:07, 28 December 2015 (UTC)[reply]
Me too. I sincerely apologize that you were accused of vandalizing, and I love constructive editors. You might want to consider getting a username, so you can gradually earn the autoconfirmed right. Krett12 (talk) 16:41, 28 December 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Invitation[change source]

Hello and thank you for your edits to Wikipedia. I would like to again extend an invitation that you register an account and create a username. This process does not require any personal information; just come up with a username and assign a password. If you choose, you may also link an e-mail account, which can allow Wikipedia to send you various notices (like if someone reverts one of your edits, or leaves a comment on your userpage), but providing such an e=mail address is not required. Thank you again for your constructive edits to the encyclopedia. Etamni | ✉   02:54, 25 April 2016 (UTC)[reply]

August 2016[change source]

Welcome to Wikipedia. You might not have done it on purpose, but your recent change removed helpful information from Wikipedia. We ask that you do not remove things from pages, as you did to "Iceland", without giving a good reason in the change summary. If it was a mistake, do not worry. The part of the article you removed has been put back. If you want to try things out, please use the sandbox. If you would like to learn how to help Wikipedia, please see the welcome page. Thank you. — MBlaze Lightning 03:00, 2 August 2016 (UTC)[reply]

If this is a shared IP address, and you didn't make the change, consider creating an account for yourself so you can avoid further irrelevant notices.

Note to concerned readers: The previous warning is partially invalid. The changes were accurate, the IP simply failed to cite sources. I have restored the changes to the article and am in the process of adding appropriate citations. Etamni | ✉

Note to the IP: You can avoid false reverts by including citations when you add information to any Wikipedia article. While updating information here is important, it is equally important that people be able to verify the information contained in the encyclopedia. When you don't include sources, especially if you choose not to register an account, some people will automatically assume that you were vandalizing the article, and revert your changes. I know you don't want that, so please include your sources when you make changes like those you did to Iceland. Etamni | ✉   07:15, 2 August 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks![change source]

Hi! Just wanted to say thank you for keeping our current leadership information actually current. With so few editors we can use the help. Much appreciation --Tbennert (talk) 05:17, 30 October 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Text-source integrity[change source]

Thanks for updating the page Louisiana. Unfortunately, adding the new senator, John Neely Kennedy, broke text-source integrity. The existing source verified the former senator. Whenever updating sourced information, please check the source to see if it still verifies the updated information. If not, please add a new reliable source citation. If changing information that is not sourced, please consider adding a reliable source citation. In this case I added a source citation to verify Kennedy. If you have any questions please ask.
