School IP address Welcome to Wikipedia, school user! Please note the following:

This IP address, 89.207.208.8, is registered to Yorkshire and Humber Grid For Learning, and may be shared by many different people. If this school uses proxy servers, many people at different computers, or even at different schools in an area, can connect to the Internet through this same IP address. Because of this, a message meant for one person may be read by another, often someone who has not done anything wrong, and a block of this IP address will mean that everyone using this address will not be able to change Wikipedia.

If you are making changes from this address and are getting messages that are not for you, you can avoid this by creating your own account. If you cannot do this, it most likely means that doing so has been stopped so that other users cannot make any bad changes. You will then have to make an account at home and log in with it here.

Please think before blocking this IP. If a block is needed, admins should consider a soft block.

Note: If this address is used for vandalism over and over again, making changes without an account may be disabled for up to 1 year at a time, and abuse reports may be sent to the people who run the school in cases of long-term disruption by people with accounts.
School staff, to monitor this IP address for disruptive changes, can subscribe to a web feed of this page in either RSS or Atom format.

Please do not make test changes in Wikipedia articles, such as those you made to "Animal testing", even if you want to fix them. Such edits seem to be vandalism and have been changed back or deleted. If you would like to try out changing Wikipedia again, please use the sandbox. Thank you. Nifky^ 10:41, 28 June 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Dear 89.207.208.8, hello and welcome to Wikipedia! :) I'm glad you decided to visit Simple English Wikipedia. I'm really sorry, but some of your latest changes, like the ones to the page Small solar system body, seemed to have been test changes, so they have been changed back. You see, we're trying to write an encyclopedia here, and our readers are looking for a neat, serious article, so we cannot test things out in articles or add information that might be wrong. Don't worry—many of our best users have begun Wikipedia this way. But next time, if you would like to try experimenting, you can try doing so at the sandbox. You can write almost anything on there as long as it isn't hurtful and offensive. Maybe you would also like to try reading a page I wrote for some ideas how to get started. If you would like me to show you around, or if you have any questions, please ask me anytime. I would love to help you! :) I hope you decide to stay and help us make this a better encyclopedia. Sincerely, —Clementina talk 12:31, 13 October 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Hello, 89.207.208.8. An article you created Banski, has been automatically tagged for deletion because it looks like a test page. Please use the sandbox for any other experiments you would like to do. If you think there has been an error please feel free to remove the tag and leave a message here explaining what happened. Thank you. --GoblinBot4 (talk) 13:58, 14 February 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Thank you for experimenting with the page East Africa on Wikipedia. Your test worked, but because it had things in it which did not help improve the page, it was reverted or removed. Please use the sandbox if you would like to do more tests. You may also want to read the welcome page to learn about helping the Simple English Wikipedia. Thank you.
