Hi there[change source]

How have you been since you left? Is everything good now? I am still amazed that you came back and I am very glad that you did come back. If you need anything, I am always an email or talk page message away. Cheers, Razorflame 01:30, 13 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Oh. I've been away for roughly about a year after taking off since Jan. 2008. I felt I needed some rest as my personal, school, & social life was taking more time away from me. But I decided to come back to see how the wiki's been doing. From what I have seen, things have REALLY changed while I was gone. Asides from a new main page format and dozens of more, unfamiliar users and admins, some of the people (like Huji, Isis, Archer7, Barliner, Tdxiang, etc.) who've I've known are now inactive or have also left the project. It's great to be back and editing again. I'm currently hoping that life may allow me to stay here for a long time again. I'm also willing to furthur contribute to this wiki as well with cooperating new users. Thank you for welocming me back. :) --§ Snake311 (I'm Not Okay!) 01:40, 13 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Thank you[change source]

Thank you for your support in my RfA which passed 24/0/0. I will do my best to better Wikipedia with the administrative tools that the community has seen fit to grant me. Special thanks to Shapiros10 for nominating me and if you ever need anything, feel free to ask! Malinaccier (talk) (review) 18:10, 16 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]

You commented at the voting discussion for Wikipedia:Proposed_very_good_articles#Nudity_2. Another user has expressed concerns that there are some sourcing issues with the article that need to be addressed before this is passed as a very good article. Would you mind reviewing the discussion at the vote page and adding your input (or help to find sources, if you can)? Thank you, Either way (talk) 22:01, 20 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Adminship[change source]

Hello, Snake311,

Regarding the Criteria for adminship, I whole-heartedly agree with them; they are fine as they are now. Really, the only thing I can see is that sometimes editors vote in an RfA that do little else here on this WP. To counter this, there are the three options

  1. Doesn't matter, we can live with it.
  2. In order to counter this, we raise the required percentages to become Admin (or Bureaucrat, but there it is less of a problem)
  3. In order to counter this, we require some level of activity (50 votes in the month preceding the vote).

Personally, I do not see other things pass (like a minimal number of edits, or some required activity in a certain section). --Eptalon (talk) 09:05, 26 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Thank you for participating in my recent request for adminship, which passed with a total of 21/5. I will try to the best of my abilities to maintain the trust of the community, and I will carefully consider the opposes to learn how to further improve. Cheers, Juliancolton (talk) 14:09, 28 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]

I think you should add yourself to active users. TurboGolf 05:28, 2 February 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Hey Snake311, i've decided to nominate you for adminship :). Please let me know whether you'd like to accept or not. Shapiros10 12:21, 3 February 2009 (UTC)[reply]

I'm sorry but I must decline. My current objectives are not to run for adminship, at least for now. --§ Snake311 (I'm Not Okay!) 00:18, 5 February 2009 (UTC)[reply]
Since you declined, I deleted that page. Let me know if you object. Cheers, –Juliancolton (talk) 00:59, 5 February 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Hello. Out of curiosity, didn't you request adminship several times before already? — RyanCross (talk) 01:51, 5 February 2009 (UTC)[reply]

I did, which was many months ago prior to my wiki-retirement. I know I'm one of those very few users who meet most of the CfA rules like a long time with becoming an admin, but I do not think I am ready for adminship right now and that I have only come back to this wiki one month ago. I will need some time to catch up on stuff. --§ Snake311 (I'm Not Okay!) 05:24, 5 February 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Requests for checkusership/Kennedy[change source]

I am sorry, but I must ask why you thought that you could close this RfCU when you aren't even a bureaucrat on this project. Razorflame 00:47, 5 February 2009 (UTC)[reply]

First, only bureaucrats should be closing RfX's regardless of when they close and what-not because they have to use their judgement in determining whether or not a candidate is successful or not. I realize that you are trying to give a helping hand, however, when you are not a bureaucrat, you would be best at leaving things like this to the bureaucrats. I know that his RfCU failed to pass the criteria, however, closing it 32 minutes after it turns the 5th is not really a good thing because users could have voted in between the time now and when it was closed, so in essence, you are kind of screwing Kennedy out of a potential promotion (which I know is a bit of a long-shot, but still). Hope this helps you understand why I questioned this. Razorflame 00:54, 5 February 2009 (UTC)[reply]
Okay. --§ Snake311 (I'm Not Okay!) 00:57, 5 February 2009 (UTC)[reply]
"They have to use their judgement in determining whether or not a candidate is successful or not" when all that an RFCU requires, essentially, is counting to 25? Either way (talk) 00:58, 5 February 2009 (UTC)[reply]
I realize that, however, I still think that closing RfX's should be left to bureaucrats. Razorflame 00:59, 5 February 2009 (UTC)[reply]
I know, my bad. --§ Snake311 (I'm Not Okay!) 01:01, 5 February 2009 (UTC)[reply]
My RFCU was closed by a non-bcrat, I don't think it's a problem. As long as it's done right. Majorly talk 01:21, 5 February 2009 (UTC)[reply]
While I agree its not that huge a deal, I think it should be left to crats to remove any remote possibility that it could cause drama. -Djsasso (talk) 15:05, 5 February 2009 (UTC)[reply]

The Daylights[change source]

In the process of adding interwiki links, I noticed an article you created last year (The Daylights) was deleted on the English Wikipedia (en:Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/The Daylights). I feel that the band is not notable enough for inclusion here, either, but I wanted to get your opinion before nominating. Thanks! EhJJTALK 02:47, 8 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Because the simple wiki does not really have a deletion policy for unnotable articles in the music industry like rock bands for example, I guess we should leave it alone unless there is a lot of users wanting the article deleted here too. --§ Snake311 (I'm Not Okay!) 05:52, 8 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]

So, I noticed you never went rogue! I was looking forwards to blocking an established editor and you declined to offer me the opportunity! :-( Is that because you wuv seWP or because you wuv me? :-) fr33kman talk 00:01, 10 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Excuse me? I have no idea what you are saying. To be clear, I'm not going rogue. I just have a lot of homework these days which is decreasing my activity. Besides, if you feel like blocking someone for fun, go block some anon IP users. Vandalism now occurs every 5 - 10 minutes in this wiki. --§ Snake311 (I'm Not Okay!) 00:12, 10 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]
