You can read this or basically, "good article(s)" are articles that the community (other editors, not ourselves) believe are well written and structured properly by the manual of style and other guidelines/rules. In other words, a "good article" is a well written and informative article that is written in Simple English. If you are still interested I'm working on The Substitute (a Glee) episode, we can work together and you can ask questions on the talk page if you are stuck on something, you can translate any section you want from the English Wikipedia version to the one we are working on. IEP 2.0 proposal

I regret that I couldn't join you in agreeing to the IEP 2.0 proposal. If we re-visit this in future, maybe it will play out differently.

As the IEP 2.0 discussion winds down, it may be timely to contrast and compare an SEWP pilot program in Japan.

I mentioned it here, but two sentences may have been overlooked in the wall of words:

"... a very different kind of strategy has marked the development of a pilot SEWP program at Tokyo Medical and Dental University (TMDU) here and here. Strategic planning and context-building here and here were quite distinct from the IEP 2.0 proposal."

Templates

When you're testing new templates, please try to do that in your userspace instead of in regular template space. For example, you could create User:AJona1992/Template1 and invoke it like this:

Hi, I was checking New Pages and noticed Western Africa. I just wanted to let you know I requested QD because it was a duplicate article that existed just to make a redirect. Rather than the new article and redirect (which may encourage others to link to it) I went ahead and corrected the two incoming links. Now all links point directly to West Africa. Hope that's OK. I have a problem with this now, Rosy red minnow shouldn't have been deleted. It's the species common name, it is used by pet stores. I don't think the deleting redirects is even necessary especially if other readers do not know that the Rosy Red minnow is called a "fathead". Best, Jona^{talk to me} 18:19, 28 July 2012 (UTC)

I think you might be going a bit too fast creating new pages. That's certainly not to say stop or even necessarily slow down, but myself and others seem to be following after you picking up the pieces. I've fixed taxoboxes that are obviously broken, others that didn't display anything at all except error messages, removed dead links, broken file links, broken maintenance tags, broken template links, massive link farms (one was as big as 12Kb)... Domain

Hey Jona. I couldn't figure out what you meant on simple talk, with regards to the domain being featured in the taxobox. As far as I can tell, the domain and kingdom can be displayed using the |domain= and |regnum= parameters, respectively (tested it on the Reptile article -- here). Is this what you were referring to? I can tell you why they are that colour, but I'm not sure whether or why it has to be that way. If you or somebody else wanted to change the colours, the defaults are set by {{taxobox colour}}. It looks like   FFC0CB is the default for taxons in the animal kingdom, and   90EE90 is the default for plants. Osiris (talk) 12:55, 30 July 2012 (UTC)

When you get a chance can you please look at Pygmy killer whale? It did an autotaxobox on me and now I don't know how to remove the help message at the top of the page. Please be careful

Once again, you made huge changes to a long-established page. The main pages on biology, such as Plant, Dinosaur, Amphibian (etc) have been carefully written and do not need huge changes. All you have to do, if you think a page needs improvement, is to say something on the talk page. I watch all the top pages in the taxonomy of living things, so I will see your comment.

What you are doing now is costing me a great deal of time putting things right. Here is something to think about before you bring over huge amounts from English wiki: why did I not already bring the stuff over? The answer is, that I looked at it and decided it was not the right approach for this wiki. And since I have qualifications and teaching experience in biology, I know what I'm talking about.

Taxonomy question

Hi, from seeing your wikiproject about animals, I wonder if you can offer me some advice. I'm sojourning here after spending quite a lot of time at the English wikipedia, and am wondering how to proceed here with articles about plants (and animals). There seem to be very few such pages, so I wonder if there are policies here about what articles can be included and how to name them. Can there be a genus page and a page for each species of some little-known genus? If there is no common English name for a species, can it never have the scientific name as the name of a page? Moving songs, albums, etc

Please rethink all of those moves you have been making. Just because there is no other article about a song with the same name right now, doesn't mean that there is no other song, album, etc. by the same name.
