Welcome, and a note about section names and category names[change source]

Hello, Ale423047, and welcome to Simple English Wikipedia. Thanks for your contributions here. You might not have known, but there is a manual of style here that should be followed whenever possible. One way that you have not been following it is where there are section headings or category names. Both of those should have their first word start with a capital letter, but all other words start with lower-case letters (unless they are proper nouns). Here are examples of what I'm talking about from articles you created:

  • In History of hearing aids, you had section headings of "Ear Trumpets", "Vacuum Tube", and "Digital Hearing Aids". Those should be "Ear trumpets", "Vacuum tube", and "Digital hearing aids".
  • In Hyperacusis and Presbycusis, you had the category "Health Problems". That should have been "Health problems". I moved the ones I saw.

Please follow this in future pages that you create. Thanks. If you have any questions about this, feel free to ask. --Auntof6 (talk) 03:24, 27 September 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Hi Auntof6, thank you for your advice. I will take a read through the manual that you've linked and will fix any headings or categories that I've incorrectly formatted.

Linking to other websites[change source]

Hi, I am a bit concerned of some of your links to external websites. Please take a look at Wikipedia:Links to other websites, specifically entry 13 under "Links normally to be avoided": "Sites that are only indirectly related to the article's subject" - sites that provide general information should not be linked from articles that are about specific concepts/conditions.

The continued linking of those two websites in the audiology-related articles which you created could be conceived as advertising. Please take note of it. Thanks! Chenzw  Talk  06:10, 27 September 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Hi Chenzw, thank you for letting me know and linking me to the article, I will take a read through and make sure that my future posts do not violate any guidelines.

Hi. Thank you for this new page. I think it needs further simplification–the vocabulary some, but the sentence structure quite a lot. I also think than when you finish doing that the topic is better served (on this wiki) as a section of Hearing aid rather than as its own page. StevenJ81 (talk) 19:23, 26 October 2016 (UTC)[reply]

I'm looking through some other new pages of yours. Probably the same (the simplification part) can be said of
Please see Wikipedia:How to write Simple English pages for more on the topic. Thanks for being here and contributing! StevenJ81 (talk) 19:29, 26 October 2016 (UTC)[reply]
