New templates[change source]
Hi, Artix. Thanks for creating new templates here. When you bring templates here from Engkish Wikipedia (enwiki), please check the following:
- Make sure to use categories that we have here. Simple English Wikipedia doesn't use exactly the same categories as enwiki.
- If any of the links in navbox templates are to redirects, change them to point to the "real" page. That way, when the template is placed on the page, the link will display in bold text and won't be clickable.
Adding attribution when you didn't create the article[change source]
It's usually not a good idea to add attribution to an article if you didn't create the article yourself. First, only the article's creator knows for sure what version of an article was used as a basis for the article here. In some cases, articles may be similar but have something else as the source for both. Also, adding attribution to someone else's article could make you responsible for it. Finally, if we don't require article creators to do the attribution themselves, they won't get in the habit of it. Please try to encourage creators to do the attribution themselves. Thanks. --Auntof6 (talk) 03:30, 5 November 2017 (UTC)
November 2017[change source]
We like and strongly encourage helpful changes to Wikipedia, but "Emeryville, California" was directly copied and pasted from the main English Wikipedia. Please do not do that. Such articles are usually too complex. They need to be simplified before or immediately after being added to the Simple English Wikipedia. In addition, be sure to include attribution on the article's talk page. Thank you. Auntof6 (talk) 05:04, 8 November 2017 (UTC)
Bambusa basihirsutoides[change source]
I made some changes to Bambusa basihirsutoides in the description section based on the meanings at en:Glossary of botanical terms. Please see if this changed the meaning because I have no idea. Thanks! --Tbennert (talk) 18:35, 20 November 2017 (UTC)
Hi again! Just a minor note - if you write about the population of a place it is more simple to say "In 2010, xxxx people lived there." rather than "the population was xxxx". Your articles are looking good overall. Thanks for all you are doing! --Tbennert (talk) 18:46, 20 November 2017 (UTC)
