Rebecca Black[change source]

Why did you revert my vandal reversion? --SEPTActaMTA8235 (talk) 13:52, 6 April 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Sorry about that. I went to block the IP, changed my mind and decided to revert first, and didn't expect the edit history to have changed so swiftly. --Bärliner (talk) 13:58, 6 April 2011 (UTC)[reply]
My pages clearing. I seem to need to purge them. --Bärliner (talk) 14:03, 6 April 2011 (UTC)[reply]
Having same problem here :/ Wha, post this at the village pump? --SEPTActaMTA8235 (talk) 14:03, 6 April 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Red Bull Salzburg[change source]

Just one question-why are there dots after F and C. Our club is named FC Red Bull Salzburg or FC Salzburg in international matches. --Werner100359 (talk) 15:11, 6 April 2011 (UTC)[reply]

The dots are standard in Simple English to show that "Football Club" is two words. I have created a redirect so that there is now a page "FC Red Bull Salzburg" --Bärliner (talk) 07:49, 7 April 2011 (UTC)[reply]

many thanks for all the merits about Chilean cities I appreciate it, greets, bye!--X4v13r3 (talk) 16:14, 6 April 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Forms of address[change source]

A person when knighted is known by only one forename. Thus a person born Roger Percival Gordon de Waller, after knighting would become Sir Roger de Waller (or, should he prefer, Sir Gordon de Waller).

So as we've added the 'Sir' to knights in our biogs, we should put the full name somewhere else, as for example, 'Sir Roger de Waller (Roger Percival Gordon de Waller, 1 January 1231 – 31 December 1302)'.

Perhaps not a major thing, but helps to look professional. Every country has their little peculiarities. Macdonald-ross (talk) 13:41, 17 April 2011 (UTC)[reply]

I would argue that the wikipedia entry is a formal occassion, and the full name and title is perfectly right and acceptable. For example the London Gazette Number 59647 Friday 31 December 2010 http://www.london-gazette.co.uk (New Year Honours List 2011) notes a promotion from KCB to GCB as "General Sir David Julian RICHARDS, K.C.B., C.B.E., D.S.O., ADC Gen., late Royal Regiment of Artillery, 491024." --Bärliner (talk) 17:55, 17 April 2011 (UTC)[reply]
So they do. And nothing could be more formal than the London Gazette. Macdonald-ross (talk) 18:39, 17 April 2011 (UTC)[reply]

AWB edits[change source]

How is [1] delinking dates? --SEPTActaMTA8235 22:10, 17 April 2011 (UTC)[reply]

using one hand to type I sometimes catch the wrong stored edit summary. What is your excuse for using obscenities in edit summaries, and will you stop - I believe you have been warned today about inappropriate edits etc. --Bärliner (talk) 22:17, 17 April 2011 (UTC)[reply]

I wonder how he came to follow me here? DGG (talk) 16:21, 18 April 2011 (UTC)[reply]

thank you very much for your recognition, best wishes from Chile, have a cool day, good bye :) ---X4v13r3sh (talk) 06:02, 20 April 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Rollback[change source]

Hi, you just declined my request for rollback saying I am not autoconfirmed when accourding to my settings I am. Can you please clarify. Thank you Jamietw (talk) 08:55, 20 April 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Privy Council[change source]

Perhaps better to use the simple term 'Privy Council' for the category since the official name of the country has changed so often. I've never heard of another country using the term. Macdonald-ross (talk) 09:28, 21 April 2011 (UTC)[reply]

I haven't distinguished between England, GB and UK members, putting all in Privy Councillors (UK) The only seperate category is for the entirely seperate Privy Council for Canada. I could move the appropriate people to Privy Councillors (UK/Canada) to Privy Council (UK/Canada) if you think the Council simpler than Councillors. --Bärliner (talk) 15:00, 21 April 2011 (UTC)[reply]

User Semi Retired[change source]

Hello, i Semi Retired from this wikipedia, because I think I register wrong, because I thought this was a wiki written in an English with simpler words, but then I realize that was truely a language, and although I know english (My mother language is Spanish), I don't especifically know Simple. And I really want to continue in this wiki, but I don't know if I can do so knowing english, or If I have to know especifically simple. Can I contribute knowing only english?? Cheers--Lcsrns (talk) 00:41, 23 April 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Ps:Sorry for my poor-english

Simple English wikipedia is designed to be read and edited by people, like you, whose mother tongue is not English. So this is "a wiki written in an English with simpler words". I hope you can carry on editing here, and if you need help you can always ask me or another admin or editor. Bärliner (talk) 23:00, 23 April 2011 (UTC)[reply]
Thank you for the answer, I will continue editing, although more in the English (there I do minor edits), thank you for offering your help. --Lcsrns (Talk) 00:04, 24 April 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Ps: How do you do to change and when you edit (change in this wiki), use other words??

Hi, I noticed that you deleted this page, I'm not the auther but I was wondering if it would be better to redirect it to Framlingham, rather than delete it. Groton (talk) 22:22, 29 April 2011 (UTC)[reply]

That was just a two line article, literally. It said little more than the next station south was Ipswich. Not worth a redirect. I think that the information is better as a section of the Framlingham article, unless massively expanded --Bärliner (talk) 23:34, 29 April 2011 (UTC)[reply]
I suppose we should just wait until there is more written. Groton (talk) 06:42, 30 April 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Erm...that was (Blue)Goblin. --—SEPTActaMTA8235— (t c l) 22:05, 1 May 2011 (UTC)[reply]
