Re: Global unlock for Newman2 on Meta

Umm, Newman255 is actually another person in my apartment pretending to be me, and also share the same home IP and go to school with me. After finding out that my username was Newman2 (or Newman66 on Uncyclopedia), they started using my username as Newman255, and even sharing the same IP at home too. 75.86.140.247 (talk) 13:54, 4 October 2013 (UTC)[reply]

And now just also tell me that this other person used the very same machine as you. Oh, and btw, I'm the Queen of England. -Barras talk 14:43, 4 October 2013 (UTC)[reply]
They might use the same network and server. And, they could be logging the same machine as me. 75.86.140.247 (talk) 15:45, 5 October 2013 (UTC)[reply]
Don't you get it? In case you donno, Barras has CU evidence. (✉→Arctic Kangaroo←✎) 15:50, 5 October 2013 (UTC)[reply]
I know it wasn't me. They could be using the exact same home IP and school network as I do, but I know it could be a person I knew who had saw my username after I told them, and then they copied my username as Newman255. A lot of the people who were once at my school were patrolling my accounts. If they had IP checked that my home IP that I am on here right now with, and the public IP I use at school, it's because they both use the same network as me, and the network that uses this IP or IP range is me and my other neighbor-in-apartment's network have the exact same server and IP address. 75.86.140.247 (talk) 21:04, 5 October 2013 (UTC)[reply]
NOTE: As that was another person on the same network IP at home, and not just going to the same school district, it can be hard to tell whether or not it is me, and thus I will keep myself from having others I know well copy my username. I would never do something like making another sockpuppet or IP for abuse anymore. That's why I promised to have my account unlocked. 75.86.140.247 (talk) 22:05, 6 October 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Jimmy Carter

Hi Barras. You offered an opinion previously on the hook for Jimmy Carter at Template talk:Did you know. I was wondering if you could come look over the conversation and provide any additional views you might have. There is still an on-going discussion on it and its "interestingness." Any insight you can provide would be helpful. Thanks, Only (talk) 12:25, 12 October 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Just commented there again, this time a bit more detailed. -Barras talk 20:55, 12 October 2013 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks. Appreciate the insight. Only (talk) 02:34, 13 October 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Notability issues on WikiMANNia

Hi Barras, I am not proficient in German - can you please take a look at WikiMANNia and tell me what you think about the subject (and relevance of the sources)? Chenzw  Talk  13:13, 14 October 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Well, couldn't find an article on the German Wikipedia about it, which is odd as this is a German project. However, I'll take a look at the article's talk page later, I'm a bit short in time right now. -Barras talk 13:35, 14 October 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Help

How did you know that those user names where sock puppets of Oregonian? --TDKR Chicago 101 (talk) 22:05, 31 October 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Gut feeling? ;-) -Barras talk 22:47, 31 October 2013 (UTC)[reply]
Ha!, I have gut felling about another puppet of Oregonians. --TDKR Chicago 101 (talk) 02:10, 1 November 2013 (UTC)[reply]
I don't think he's any more socks, but feel free to tell me the name, maybe privately and I may investigate further. -Barras talk 10:06, 1 November 2013 (UTC)[reply]

As far as I remember, it wasn't a simple cut&paste. But let me please check it.
Let us please follow the rules, for they are established for these cases by the community.
1) Notify me (ok, that hasn't been done already). 2) As I think you might have mistaken, please revert. 3) Add {copyvio} template. Tdfdc (talk) 07:44, 8 November 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Background color

How do you add background color?Pending(tell me I screwed up and where)

By taking a pencil of my choice and coloring the white page until it has the color I want it to have. Or what do you mean? -Barras talk 16:21, 9 December 2013 (UTC)[reply]
Sarcasm or Humor? I mean adding background color to pages such as talk pages and user pages. Pending(tell me I screwed up and where)
Why would you or someone else need to color a page? You better firstly learn the basics to work on a project like this. For example start to sign your posts with four tildes (~~~~) instead of anything else. It even is explained at the top of talk pages. Better start with easy stuff instead of coloring a page, which is pretty useless. -Barras talk 09:10, 10 December 2013 (UTC)[reply]
(talk page stalker) Hear, hear. Besides, every time I've seen background color on a page, it made the page harder to read and work with. This is not a social network and we aren't here to make fancy pages, we're here to work on encyclopedia content. --Auntof6 (talk) 10:03, 10 December 2013 (UTC)[reply]
Urgh, may I be allowed to kill kennedy, strip his flags and ban him from the wiki? :D -Barras talk 12:56, 10 December 2013 (UTC)[reply]
Been done before Barras (apart from the killing) - Think of something new? :P Kennedy (talk) 12:58, 10 December 2013 (UTC)[reply]
Right... I will find another way to punish you! -Barras talk 12:59, 10 December 2013 (UTC)[reply]
Edit conflict on a humorous message asking that you (Kennedy) not be killed. Pending(tell me I screwed up and where) 13:01, 10 December 2013 (UTC)[reply]
