Hi there! We normally follow enwiki with page names in main space. I just checked other Wikipedias how they write, some do it one way, some the other. Also by searching the dance with google, it gives out both spellings. i think we should follow enwiki and use one word only, but if you wish, you can of course revert it, I won't object. Waltz (International Standard)

I do wish you'ld ask first. There are two reasons for the shorter title. The first is that 'Standard' is redundant; the second is that in Britain 'Modern' is traditionally used. The text offers both 'Standard' and 'Modern' as equivalent.

I'm not reponsible for the weakness of enWP dance articles (the whole area is weak); I don't have the time to fix their many problems. But in this area I do know what I'm talking about, and I don't change enWP titles lightly. Macdonald-ross (talk) 10:49, 20 July 2010 (UTC)[reply]

I don't check who is the creator of an article, I just open all new pages, patrol them and correct them if needed. The article on en exists on this page name for almost five years. We have a policy/guideline/agreement (even if unwritten, I don't don't know if we actually have a page about it) to follow en wiki with page names in our main space. If you think the move was wrong, feel free to reverse it, I don't mind, I won't edit/move war. Remember: It's a wiki, everyone can change any page. "Україна (usurped)" into "Україна"

also die Edits die in "Україна (usurped)" verzeichnet sind, sind meine Edits. Wie der Account "Україна (usurped)" zustande gekommen ist, ist mir schleierhaft. Wenn ich es richtig verstanden habe, könnt ihr die Accounts nicht verschmelzen. Wenn du den Account "Україна (usurped)" aber in "Україна" umbenennts, werden die Edits dann meinem aktuellen globalen Account zugeordnet! Richtig? Hallo! Also, ich denke auf Deutsch wird das dann doch einfacher. Zwei Accounts verschmelzen können nur die Entwickler (System administratoren), weil zugriff auf die Datenbanken haben (wir nicht). Deinem Antrag zufolge (auf der Usernamen Änderungsseite) wolltest du, dass "OF-UA 975" zu "Україна" wird. "Україна" war aber schon hier aktiv, sprich du hast unter beiden Namen editiert. Mit den beiden edits von deinen beiden Accounts hast du den Wunsch dort bestätigt. So, da wir nur Umbenennen können, wenn der gewollte Name frei ist, wird der gewünschte Name in "XY (usurped)" umbenannt um danach die Eigentliche Umbenennung zu machen. Also in deinem Fall habe ich "Україна" in "Україна (usurped)" umbennen müssen um dann aus "OF-UA 975" "Україна" zu machen. Was du warscheinlich wolltest ist das Zusammenführen der beiden Accounts, oder besser deren Edits unter "Україна". Das können aber halt nur die Entwickler. Ich hoffe ich habe das nun nicht übermäßig kompliziert erklärt. Die meisten deiner Edits dürften nun auf "Україна" liegen und nur ein paar wenige auf dem "Україна (usurped)". Hello, I was wondering if the redirect could be switched back to the English page. The reason that I created the redirect was because I wanted to know how importing works and why importing is, well, important. I don't really plan on becoming an importer myself. Since we have our own page (WP:Importers) it might be better to expand this page or add a link there to m:Import or whatever. That day, before the removal, I accidentally pressed rollback instead of undo when I was in a hurry. Later that day, when I was back online, I reverted an edit (vandalism), and when I reloaded the NC page, I saw that it was removed. She said she already had issues with me having it (I believe referring to the first edit when I was rushing) and said that it was too soon to add it back, when I asked her 8 hours after. Purplebackpack Challenge Cup

Three weeks into the Purplebackpack Challenge Cup, and several editors are off to a good start. Barras has a commanding lead in the Plum Division with 135.5 points, Yottie leads the Royal Division with 68.5 points, and PiRSquared17 and Kansan are also off to good starts. London train stations

I've just been adding & cleaning up London train stations. I thought this time I would ask you in advance not to change the titles. What I've done is use the titles which people use in London: they're often simple and have been used for 150 years or more. Recently there's been a tendency to change titles for no good reason, and make them longer and more grand-sounding. That's not good for Simple. Hi there! Well, we on simple actually look at the prose of the article, not necessarily on the bytes. Just for example, three pictures and a table/infobox pushes the bytes enormously. If I remember correctly (I hope I do so), we once agreed to tag everything under 1500 characters prose or something like this as a stub. Of course, I can be wrong and I'm not sure where I read this.
