Done I've just finished an article about Chocolate chip cookies. Please improve! I'll move them to the next box. :) !! Belinda 03:23, 26 February 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Activeness[change source]

Nobody's working very much on this project except for Ian, me, obviously, since I made it, and besides that sometimes Esther. Come on, everybody! Work more! Let's create more articles, and do as it says in the "Things to Do" section, please! The only article created in the list is the one I made. If it continues like this, I might have to close the project despite Ian and Esther and my hard work. Mister Wiki? Hello, are you there? :P of course, it's not only you, but still... please? Belinda 09:00, 28 February 2010 (UTC)[reply]

When creating new articles, we should avoid making stubs as we are trying to reduce the percentage of stubs here at Simple. Thanks, Yottie =talk= 09:16, 28 February 2010 (UTC)[reply]

How smart and helpful of you, Yotcmdr!...Altho' it's quite hard to do so, because there's so little information about those things anywhere... Belinda 10:28, 28 February 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Delicious[change source]

Banana cake :)

;p I agree, it really brightens my tongue! I'll try improving that one. Thankyou for your tasty comment, Scream. Deliciously, Belinda 04:29, 5 April 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Roll call[change source]

Hey all! I've decided to take a roll call in active and inactive members (courtsey of PrincessofLlyr's idea, thank you, dear Princess) and will go to all the member's talk pages asking if they are still willing and active. <sentiment> Arise, I beseech thee, all thou sleepy members, arise from the enchanted dreams!</sentiment> Lol, okay, please remember that this isn't so great for me either because I will be soon probably be blamed for Myspacing in talk pages due my edit percent. So save any unreasonable complaints (remember, ones with good reasons are more than welcome to this talk page!) you have for your pillow. This is going to be the message:

Hello, dear Belinda! I wrote this message to you because you're an active member of our WikiProject Baking. WikiProject Baking is presently holding a roll call to find active members from inactive ones. The purpose of this is because we are trying to awake our drowsy, dusty project and bring it back to life. Please move your name to "Inactive" if you have decided to retire, take a break, or just cannot find time to help contribute in our project anymore. If you are actively interested in helping, and will continue editing articles related to the project as much as it is in your power, we would love to hear from you. You can discuss about this on the project talk page. :) As an additional notice, we want to let you know that if you do not reply in over a week, your name will (sadly) be removed to the inactive members list. If you were away for a while when this message arrived, we will gladly move it back to the active list for you, if you don't do so yourself. Thank you! Bella tête-à-tête

And if nobody will object soon enough, I'll begin spamming all the members' talk pages in less than a few days. :) Any comments, please? Bella tête-à-tête 07:57, 18 October 2010 (UTC)[reply]

On this small a project, probably not a good idea. sonia 08:37, 18 October 2010 (UTC)[reply]
Oh, Sonia, I knew you'd be the one to such a quick and attentive reply! :) Ah, you think so? But people like Diego, Yottie, I-on, etc may not be very active anymore. I'd like to revive this project and remind them something like this even exists! And this project's being small is just a much better reason to be recruiting and roll calling. So much work to do, and my heart feels heavy just staring at the heaps of stuff and thinking of how I will be doomed to be doing it all by myself, oh, alone, all alone! :P Okay, okay, I'll be serious. *slaps face sternly* I do have a slight suspicion that I am getting too much ambitions by myself... But it's worth a try; it will (hopefully) remind people that there's a project that definitely needs their help. WikiProjects, IMO, are like stew. If you don't stir it up every once in a while then a layer of scum floats to the top. And I, unfortunately, am the cook... and therefore have responsibility if it tastes badly like scum, mold, and dust. But your opinion of course is always very good and almost always very right; so, after this long paragraph, does your opinion still stay firm as rock? If so, I guess I'll save that roll call for the future when the project gets bigger... which is probably a thousand years later. Well, waiting for the confirm! :) Your loving editor, Bella tête-à-tête 12:38, 21 October 2010 (UTC)[reply]

A possibly good idea[change source]

Would making something similar to User:Chemicalinterest/Articles needed be good? --Chemicalinterest (talk) 11:15, 23 October 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Anyway, please look at leavening agent. --Chemicalinterest (talk) 11:28, 23 October 2010 (UTC)[reply]
Oh, thank you, dear Chemicalinterest, for your attention and concern! I will look at leavening agent. And by the way, dear, your suggestion seems to go along the lines of the Pages that need help section where there is the box of Pages that need to be made. Would that be good enough? :) Bella tête-à-tête 11:31, 23 October 2010 (UTC)[reply]
*smack* I saw the colored boxes but didn't think of opening them. --Chemicalinterest (talk) 12:41, 23 October 2010 (UTC)[reply]
Another observation. Many of the articles that need to be created do not have an enWP counterpart. How do I make them? I am used to simplifying from enWP manually. --Chemicalinterest (talk) 15:58, 23 October 2010 (UTC)[reply]
Hmm... Yes, I'm used to simplifying from enWP as well. However, if you look in google search for reliable references, such as typing in "history of <insert baked good, like custard, for instance, here>" or "facts about <insert another baked good here>" many helpful websites can usually come out. :) Or, you can check your house if you have any cookbooks. That would serve very helpful, especially if they were books about homebaking. And don't smack yourself! I'm the one who deserves the smack - I shouldn't have made them collapsible boxes. Bella tête-à-tête 23:52, 23 October 2010 (UTC)[reply]
Err... I don't have access to the whole Internet, only to Wikipedia, Google Maps, books24x7, Mallinckrodt Baker, and Hotmail. --Chemicalinterest (talk) 00:05, 24 October 2010 (UTC)[reply]

enWP doesn't even have it![change source]

I noticed that some of your articles do not have a companion article on enWP. I simplify articles from en and cannot create any articles if I cannot simplify them from en. --Chemicalinterest (talk) 14:29, 29 October 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Yes, that's such a pity. :( I don't like the fact either, Chemmy cookie, but I suppose we have to face it. For now, let's try focusing on the articles en does have, and then when they all run out, let's move on and try to work on the ones en doesn't have. Lovingly, Bella tête-à-tête 04:30, 30 October 2010 (UTC)[reply]
What a name! I did create a few articles recently; maybe you can add them to the list: Pie crust, Quiche, Semisolid (not much of a baking article), Shortening and Hydrogenation. --Chemicalinterest (talk) 16:14, 30 October 2010 (UTC)[reply]
Oh, thank you, dear! I will. :) Bella tête-à-tête 04:59, 31 October 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Difference between baking and cooking[change source]

Is boiled egg included in this project? --Chemicalinterest (talk) 11:09, 1 November 2010 (UTC)[reply]

I would like to notify the community that all of the baking articles with an enWP counterpart have been created. Thanks, --Chemicalinterest (talk) 12:00, 1 November 2010 (UTC)[reply]

To your question, I think technically yes. :P But even if it isn't, it's still nice to improve other articles as well. And thank you so much for creating all the baking articles with the enWP counterpart! I sometimes wonder what this project would do without you. :) ingly, Bella tête-à-tête 00:42, 12 January 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Mobile web[change source]

Can’t see the todo list on mobile like talk headers :|, anyway that can be fixed without a emulator? Darubrub (Let me know) 23:51, 12 July 2021 (UTC)[reply]
