Bad contributions

Sorry about that, I did not understand that a larger article is required. --71.226.112.183 10:41, 28 August 2006 (UTC)

I thought I should let you know, because most of those articles will probably be deleted. If you feel that you can add to your articles, please do so and remove the {{delreq}} tag if they are of a reasonable length. For insperation, please feel free to look at EN Wikipedia, but do not copy articles or parts of them directly from there. Thank you. Billz (Talk) 10:43, 28 August 2006 (UTC)

Simple English Wikipedia is always looking to be improved and there are several ways that you can do it. Firstly, we are looking for users to make some articles, which will help us to expand our database. Some of the articles which we are most interested in can be found in the box at the top of the Recent Changes page. If you would prefer a greater selection of articles which we would like, a list can be found here. Secondly, you can expand or improve existing pages by clicking on the tab at the top called "Change this page". Don't be afraid to make changes because if someone else doesn't agree, it can simply be fixed. Finally, some users vandalise Wikipedia, which makes work for other users. To help us revert vandalism efficiently, please follow the tutorial here. If you have any more questions, please feel free to ask on my talk page or send them in an email to me. Links to both of these can be found at the bottom of my user page. Thank you. Billz (Talk) 15:11, 28 August 2006 (UTC)

what do you think of my work? --Vector 16:06, 28 August 2006 (UTC)

You are doing a great job. Thank you for all your help. Billz (Talk) 16:07, 28 August 2006 (UTC)
What article? :-( --Vector 16:11, 28 August 2006 (UTC)
Sorry, it was my mistake because you contributed to the article which is considered advertising. Please accept my apologies. Billz (Talk) 16:12, 28 August 2006 (UTC)
OK OK...there aren't any problem!!! but for became a sysop? --Vector 16:14, 28 August 2006 (UTC)
Any user can apply at any time to become an administrator, however most users will not support an applicant unless they have three months experience on Simple English Wikipedia and over 500 to 1000 edits. Whilst I am talking to you, may I please ask that you subst templates on talk pages? For example, if you are welcoming a user, please use {{subst:welcome}} rather than {{welcome}}. This applies to every template on talk pages, because it reduces the server load. Thank you. Billz (Talk) 16:57, 28 August 2006 (UTC)

Faculty of Arts in Pristina

There's no need to restore it without those elements, since I already removed the contact details. Billz (Talk) 18:35, 28 August 2006 (UTC)

Minor barnstar

Minor Barnstar Congratulations!!!

This Minor Barnstar is presented to Billz from LBMixPro for his minor edit to the community portal. May you continue to be a good contributer to Wikipedia.

Barnstars are little awards which are usually given out at the English Wikipedia. Thanks for coming up the the better wording for the "current topic" at the portal. --LBMixPro<talk|to|me> 22:25, 28 August 2006 (UTC)

Thank you very much for awarding me with the first minor Barnstar in the history of Simple English Wikipedia. It is a great reward to know that my work hasn't gone unnoticed. Billz (Talk) 22:37, 28 August 2006 (UTC)

User page

I'm sorry can you look my user page and correct the errore that I probabily do? Ps: what's is that? thanks a lot --vector ^_^ (talk) 12:03, 30 August 2006 (UTC)

I couldn't see any errors on your user page. I have changed the link to the message templates because you used an external link, rather than an internal, but that was no problem. Esperanza is a group of members, which anyone can join, with a mission to make Simple English Wikipedia as peaceful and welcoming as possible. Our Administrator General, Archer7, makes a to-do list, which can help us to achieve our mission. Currently, we are trying to welcome new users and give out Barnstars to hard working users. I have seen that you enjoy welcoming users and you would do very well in Esperanza. Billz (Talk) 13:10, 30 August 2006 (UTC)

There's no need to apologise about using subst: incorrectly: I made that mistake when I was new here, so you are not alone. I have not yet used the monobook skin. Billz (Talk) 16:21, 30 August 2006 (UTC)

Adverts

Sorry for doing that; I didn't know the standards were as strict as on the regular English-language Wikipedia. To be honest, I just cobbled it together from the articles on other universities. 152.3.65.217 21:42, 30 August 2006 (UTC)

Templates

Hi, Billz. Thanks for all your help around here. I just noticed from trying to make sure everything was cleaned up from last night that you often put the template name in the edit summary. I think it looks a lot more friendly an professional to put 'Welcome' or 'Please stop' or something like that in the edit summary rather than making it even more clear a template was used. I reallize not all users will see the edit summary, but some will. Anyway, keep up the great work. - Taxman 18:24, 31 August 2006 (UTC)

To be honest, I have never thought of this before, but I do like your suggestion, which I will try to do in the future. Thank you. Billz (Talk) 18:32, 31 August 2006 (UTC)

What is going on?

I have tried to copy the contents of my user page from my normal english account to the simple english account but several of the features like the userboxes etc are not regognised. Dean randall 18:37, 31 August 2006 (UTC)

Simple English Wikipedia does not have all of the templates which English Wikipedia does. This is why some of the userboxes do not work. Billz (Talk) 18:39, 31 August 2006 (UTC)

YOUR RV ON MY TALK PAGE

thank you for reverting the test edit i made. In future there is no need as i am a capable person. I am not retarded, simple or foreign like the intended audience of this language. cheers Dean randall 19:00, 31 August 2006 (UTC)

In no way was I suggesting that you were "retarded, simple or foreign" nor that you were incapable of reverting it yourself. I saw that you made a test edit, and I decided to revert it because it was testing which should be done in the sandbox. Billz (Talk) 19:17, 31 August 2006 (UTC)

Thank you for your concern and i accept that i should have used the sandbox. I think someone may have changed my password. Please could you reset it to something default like 'password' so i can access my account. user:Dean randall

I'm sorry, but I cannot reset your password. If you go to this page, type your username and click the option to "Email password". If you are still struggling, you will need to contact a bureaucrat. The only active bureaucrat on Simple English Wikipedia is Netoholic (Talk). Thanks. Billz (Talk) 17:56, 1 September 2006 (UTC)
Actually, only developers can reset passwords and I don't think they like doing it. Use the email password function. Archer7 - talk 18:08, 1 September 2006 (UTC)

Problem solved but thank you for your help anyway. Dean randall 18:21, 1 September 2006 (UTC)

Deletion policy and dic-defs

Pages like comb and journey should not be deleted. On Wikipedia:Deletion policy under Pages that should not be deleted, it says "Those that appear on any internally agreed article lists (Wikipedia:List of articles all languages should have) or word lists (Basic English). Pages listed should be fixed, not deleted." -- Netoholic @ 12:36, 1 September 2006 (UTC)

Sorry, I didn't realise this. I will add a cleanup tag to them now. Thank you for informing me of my error. Billz (Talk) 13:44, 1 September 2006 (UTC)

Hello from new editor Kiwi

Billz, I had just put in the first sentence to create a topic page and then realized, "I have to find other editors now so I can learn!!!" And I clicked on my talk page link and there was your welcome letter. Thank you.

I read about your applying for Adminstrative status and saw what a huge problem you have with vandalism. I will be spending very few hours a week helping here, but I will check in at least twice a day on the few topics I add to "watched list." I hope I may be able to help you out in some small way, but I will have to start slow and learn as I go. First thing I need to do is find the sandbox I've been hearing about! --I am Kiwi 02:53, 2 September 2006 (UTC)

Thank you so much for offering to help us fight vandalism and improve Simple English Wikipedia. At the moment, we are suffering a lot of vandal attacks from the same person, so you could really help us. The sandbox is located here. For more useful links, please look at my talk page. Thank you once again. Billz (Talk) 08:22, 2 September 2006 (UTC)

hello

Hello, how are you...do you like my lasts change in geografy and politics pages...I ask you if there is a template like this...--vector ^_^ (talk) 10:10, 2 September 2006 (UTC)

I'm well thank you, you? Your edits are absolutely superb and you are a fantastic person to have on Simple English Wikipedia. I don't think that we have the template which you are referring to, but as I cannot read Italian, I am not too sure. Thanks. Billz (Talk) 10:14, 2 September 2006 (UTC)

Minor Barnstar
