Your bot isn't warning users anymore. Is that deliberate or a glitch? Griffinofwales (talk) 05:16, 30 July 2009 (UTC)

Done - My bad. Fixed in r157. :P Chenzw  Talk  12:25, 30 July 2009 (UTC)
It's still not warning users. Griffinofwales (talk) 00:58, 31 July 2009 (UTC)
Correction: The bot does warn users, but it doesn't show up at RC. Why is that? Griffinofwales (talk) 23:07, 1 August 2009 (UTC)
Warnings are flagged as bot edits. Reverts are non-bot edits to maintain transparency and allow easy reversion of the bot. Chenzw  Talk  01:29, 6 August 2009 (UTC)

I'm too tired and lazy to go to the people this is aimed at, and as you are no doubt watching this page, ill write it here.

Please do not protect my userspace at all (check the logs, you'll see it keeps getting undone) and furthermore nothing needs revdeleting. It shows the vandals that we care. As I see it, it's all misuse, and want it all reversing. Ta, Goblin 00:48, 10 August 2009 (UTC) I ♥ Juliancolton!

PS, someone fill me in with the goings on in wikiland since the 30th

Why the hell are you editing at 1:50AM? Welcome back. MC8 (b · t) 00:51, Monday August 10 2009 (UTC)
Razorflame came back. Exert left. I nearly got banned. Oversight elections started. @MC08: If I hadn't edited WP in 10 days, I would edit at 1:50 AM (true wikipediholic). Griffinofwales (talk) 00:52, 10 August 2009 (UTC)
Oversight can only be reversed by a developer. Suggest that you take this to AN first. Chenzw  Talk  11:42, 10 August 2009 (UTC)
It's rev delete rather than OS I believe, so I can get a Stew to do it, but AN sounds good. Goblin 11:44, 10 August 2009 (UTC) I ♥ Chenzw!

We do actually give a damn, not about what they say about you persay, but what they write on the wiki in general. It doesn't show that we give a damn it shows that we are vigilant. To be honest I hope any admin or OSer (should we have some) ignores your message. It is far worse to do nothing than to do something. -Djsasso (talk) 12:51, 10 August 2009 (UTC)

It's already been undone. According to the Steward that undid it, it was in no way oversightable. Goblin 12:52, 10 August 2009 (UTC) I ♥ Kennedy!
This is correct. Request in this case needs to be requested by the user about the edit is. Just per policy. Barras || talk 12:53, 10 August 2009 (UTC)
I wasn't talking about any specific edit. I was talking about the message on the top of his userpage. -Djsasso (talk) 12:55, 10 August 2009 (UTC)
We should respect the wish. Barras || talk 12:57, 10 August 2009 (UTC)
Not if it hurts the wiki. The wiki as a whole overrules any individual. ie if I see vandalism on his page I will revert it....if I see constant vandalism on his page in a short period of time I will protect it. Like I would do on any other page on the wiki. Remember even though the pages are in userspace, he still does not own them. I would not permanently protect them or anything like that to be clear...just short term or semi-protect. -Djsasso (talk) 13:00, 10 August 2009 (UTC)
This isn't a statement of ownership at all. It's more the fact that my userpage keeps being protected for what are, imo, trivial reasons. Especially an indef sysop protect... Goblin 13:02, 10 August 2009 (UTC) I ♥ Kennedy!
Yeah, like I said I agree that indef sysop is too much. I just wanted to warn you ahead of time...if I see a valid reason to protect I will do it. I don't actually forsee such a time...but there may be one. -Djsasso (talk) 13:04, 10 August 2009 (UTC)
No worries at all :). It's more a warning that if I deem it inappropriate i'll go and get it unrequested. Besides, it'll never be there for more than a few seconds - User:GoblinBot4 has me on angry revert ;). Goblin 13:07, 10 August 2009 (UTC) I ♥ Kennedy!

<---And no, Griffinofwales wasn't psycho. I really did come back. Glad to see you back here, and I hope to possibly support a future RfA from you. Cheers, Razorflame 22:16, 10 August 2009 (UTC)

Please be respectful in your interactions with all users Gobby. If you find you don't like an individual or can't refrain from sarcasm in your dealings with them, please don't interact with them. Thanks. fr33kman talk 19:47, 13 August 2009 (UTC)

No Block

Hi. I have retracted any threat of blocking. Sorry I mentioned it, I should not have. Best, NonvocalScream (talk) 00:25, 15 August 2009 (UTC)

... . Shouldn't have been made in the first place. Goblin 10:53, 15 August 2009 (UTC) I ♥ Kennedy!

Itz a VGA. :DD Great job! Pmlineditor  Talk 13:02, 17 August 2009 (UTC)

Hello BG7. I closed your proposal for very good articles (Victoria line) now early as successful. Well done. I hope we get more such works from you. Barras || talk 13:06, 17 August 2009 (UTC)

Yay :). Though it's 99.9% my last VGA. I really cba with this wiki any more. :|. Goblin 18:02, 17 August 2009 (UTC) I ♥ Fr33kman!

Please do not revert a close to a discussion. NonvocalScream (talk) 18:01, 17 August 2009 (UTC)

Tough. You have a COI. What are you going to do... Block me???. Dare you. :|. Goblin 18:02, 17 August 2009 (UTC) I ♥ Chenzw!

I have blocked your for disruptive editing. You should seek a general consensus that these closes are incorrect, which has not been done. Also, you have done two reversions of two separate admin's on that close. This may be unblocked when you promise to stop reverting. NonvocalScream (talk) 18:05, 17 August 2009 (UTC)

I totally agree with this block. Your behaviour is out of line, BG. Majorly talk 18:07, 17 August 2009 (UTC)
Disagree with the block. A real final warning would probably have been best. Yotcmdr =talk to the commander= 18:11, 17 August 2009 (UTC)
It is in the page history... also I posted a review request to AN. Best, NonvocalScream (talk) 18:12, 17 August 2009 (UTC)
Final, final, final warning? BG7 is a former admin who should no better. He doesn't need warning. Majorly talk 18:13, 17 August 2009 (UTC)
Fair enough. Yotcmdr =talk to the commander= 18:16, 17 August 2009 (UTC)
:|. <-- Not caring face. Just shows what a power hungry hat collector you are, by blocking people who actually write articles and do what we are here to do - build an encyclopedia. How many articles have you worked on in the last month, NVS, Majorly? How many VGAs do you have? Goblin 18:16, 17 August 2009 (UTC) I ♥ Shappy!
Less than they could have because you wasted their time. -DJSasso (talk) 18:19, 17 August 2009 (UTC)
We all work in our own areas. Frankly, I limit my time here because of disruptive behaviour from people like yourself. You might write articles... but you're also incredibly disruprive, which we don't need here. It's actually irrelevant how many articles we write or not - and in any case, that's just a poor ad hominem. You need to be less uptight. Majorly talk 18:21, 17 August 2009 (UTC)
How have I wasted their time? And I fail to see how about 10 minutes stops someone from writing any (V)GAs. Majorly has been here years, NVS several months... Point stands. Goblin 18:26, 17 August 2009 (UTC) I ♥ Shappy!
Ok, what work do you do? Other than "not a lot"? And there are lots who more disruptive than me - and i'm hardly being disruptive - i'm just disagreeing with you which you don't like because it's "your" wiki and you think you're better than everyone else. Goblin 18:26, 17 August 2009 (UTC) I ♥ Shappy!
Well, I do as much as I want to. I'm more active on English Wikipedia generally. Besides, we're concentrating on you right now, so no need to bring others into it. There are ways to disagree without being disruptive. You could have contested the closure by discussing it politely and calmly. Instead you decided to edit war the close with the ridiculous claim there was a conflict of interest, which is totally false anyway. This isn't anyone's wiki btw - and I don't know where you get the impression anyone thinks they're better than everyone else. Majorly talk 18:31, 17 August 2009 (UTC)
I actually think you are more disruptive than both those examples you used. You should know better, you've been told over and over and yet you keep beign disruptive to make points and refuse to work with others. And you can't tout how much of an article writer you are when most of your articles are just copy and pastes from en with a few words changed. -DJSasso (talk) 18:33, 17 August 2009 (UTC)

The bots will still be run & monitored, primarily by BG7 but also the devs Chenzw and Chris G who can do stuff with it. (BG7 on irc) Yotcmdr =talk to the commander= 20:15, 17 August 2009 (UTC)

Your request for undeletion

Unfortunately, your request for undeletion is not possible and has been reversed (more info. on my user talk). If you would like to contest, please go to ST or AN to request for a change in policy. Thanks, Chenzw  Talk  15:12, 20 August 2009 (UTC)

Yay! Yotcmdr =talk to the commander= 20:11, 28 August 2009 (UTC)

Welcome back! Griffinofwales (talk) 20:13, 28 August 2009 (UTC)
Meh. Some things don't change, go edit some stuff instead of wasting time with pointless messages. Goblin 20:15, 28 August 2009 (UTC) I ♥ GoblinBots!

Get on with comments I left on the talkpage of the 2009 stock PGA. Now! The Rambling Man (talk) 00:20, 29 August 2009 (UTC)

Hehe, i'll sort the comments out when it's a comprehensive article. Though i'm not 100% sure it should be GA at this point in time as the stock is still being introduced so it might be too current, but meh. I'll be dropping by with lots more review requests soonish :). Goblin 17:52, 29 August 2009 (UTC) I ♥ Shappy!
Whenever you're ready dude. The Rambling Man (talk) 17:54, 29 August 2009 (UTC)

Lincoln GA

Lincoln's GA has gone down, but the comments in the discussion have not particularly helped me inprove the article. Please itemize your suggestions for improvement, e.g. "tell me more about this", or "add a section on that", or "expand this", instead of just "Oppose: expand". This will help me and others improve the article. Thank you, Purplebackpack89 (talk) 18:16, 29 August 2009 (UTC) Purplebackpack89 (talk) 18:24, 29 August 2009 (UTC)

.. What the hell? I didn't make any suggestions, merely closed it as it's not GA quality. There are suggestions on the TP, and there are plenty of comments made in the GA. Take those on board and fix it, don't go around getting people to waste their time by making it into a pretty list, you could do that yourself. Fix Lincoln instead of moaning about it. Goblin 18:25, 29 August 2009 (UTC) I ♥ Nifky!
I thought I did, but you guys had more complaints that are too vague for me to do anything about them. Purplebackpack89 (talk) 18:28, 29 August 2009 (UTC)
There's a big list on the talkpage you could start with... The Rambling Man (talk) 18:30, 29 August 2009 (UTC)
e/c You guys != me, i've not made any comments. If the comments are too vague, it means a lot is wrong with it. Look at some other GAs and make it like one of them. Or just do what people ask, this is now going round in circles, so see above. Goblin 18:31, 29 August 2009 (UTC) I ♥ GoblinBots!
And yes, I already mentioned said list TRM ;) Goblin 18:31, 29 August 2009 (UTC) I ♥ GoblinBots!
Uh, either I'm missing something, or almost everything on that list is  Fixed. And what's a TRM? Purplebackpack89 (talk) 18:35, 29 August 2009 (UTC)
Well make everything on that list fixed, then maybe we will take your post a bit more seriously. And TRM = The Rambling Man... Goblin 18:36, 29 August 2009 (UTC) I ♥ GoblinBots!
Done. The problem is comments by Julian et al never were flushed out or even mentioned on the talk page. By the way, I dislike your condescendence Purplebackpack89 (talk) 18:38, 29 August 2009 (UTC)
Hm, just a quick check revealed that a whole heap of my comments have just been ignored. Not good. The Rambling Man (talk) 18:40, 29 August 2009 (UTC)
I thought PMLine and I had fixed all of them, or given logical explanations as to why we hadn't. That's what it looks like on the talk page. If that's not true, toss the fixed tags and/or fix it. Purplebackpack89 (talk) 18:43, 29 August 2009 (UTC)
Hmm, I was talking about the Biden article (oops) but nevertheless there are outstanding issues with Lincoln. It's not up to me to check, check and recheck what you've done. If someone assigns a fix template then it should be fixed. The Rambling Man (talk) 18:47, 29 August 2009 (UTC)

P.S. Personal check reveals this is indeed the case.

Nope. Checked the reference for the Lincoln quote? Anyway. More there now. The Rambling Man (talk) 18:58, 29 August 2009 (UTC)
 Fixed Purplebackpack89 (talk) 20:32, 29 August 2009 (UTC)
Great, don't tell us about it, fix everything, make it like every other GA and then ask someone to review it and take it back to PGA. Goblin 20:33, 29 August 2009 (UTC) I ♥ Kennedy!
Uh, either there's something I'm missing, or there are differences in the style and other factors in GAs? Purplebackpack89 (talk) 21:04, 29 August 2009 (UTC)
Completely lost you there. But my point remains. This is again going around in circles. Goblin 21:08, 29 August 2009 (UTC) I ♥ Yotty!

The infobox on the article British Rail Class 108 has several empty parameters, but I can't figure out how to get rid of them. Do you know? I am going to check with enWP, and see whether the wikiproject knows. Griffinofwales (talk) 20:45, 29 August 2009 (UTC)

See the bottom of ST for a discussion around that ibox, and also see any other DMU (British Rail Class 117 being the best example as i've filled some in) Doesn't do it at en, and I can't fix it. Though please don't delete the blank parameters from the article as i'll be filling them at some stage soon, and if they are blank they also won't be called. Regards, Goblin 20:47, 29 August 2009 (UTC) I ♥ Yotty!
I won't. Thanks for the response. Griffinofwales (talk) 20:50, 29 August 2009 (UTC)
No worries at all :). Goblin 20:50, 29 August 2009 (UTC) I ♥ Shappy!
Currently, the parameters are not optional. Most of them will be parsed regardless. If you really want to fiddle with them, look up the functions and fiddle with the /doc subpage. MC8 (b · t) 20:52, Saturday August 29 2009 (UTC)
Your Mediawiki link doesn't work. Griffinofwales (talk) 21:50, 29 August 2009 (UTC)

Biden GA...what did you just do?

It doesn't make any sense to me a) what you did and b) why you did it (there's not exactly a consensus, only two votes, and only two days old) Purplebackpack89 (talk) 23:05, 29 August 2009 (UTC)

Read the closure comments for heaven's sake. Goblin 23:07, 29 August 2009 (UTC) I ♥ Juliancolton!
He hasn't closed it, he has just removed the voting section. Please discuss the article, don't vote on it. MC8 (b · t) 23:07, Saturday August 29 2009 (UTC)
All  Done, please go and comment and discuss your precious Biden article. Goblin 23:48, 29 August 2009 (UTC) I ♥ Chenzw!

i agree with Griffin. Tone down the tude, and hit up a review on it Purplebackpack89 (talk) 00:21, 30 August 2009 (UTC)
Time out. MC8 (b · t) 00:29, Sunday August 30 2009 (UTC)
In English, I'm saying WP:FAITH and please submit a review of "my precious Biden article" rather than discussing it here Purplebackpack89 (talk) 00:45, 30 August 2009 (UTC)
Stop. MC8 (b · t) 00:52, Sunday August 30 2009 (UTC)
What he said. If you want a review, ask an experienced reviewer for it. I'm a content creator, not a reviewer. I'm better at clerking and improving process, so that's what I do. That said, if people gave me reviews, other than those that I ask explicitly and don't write (V)GAs themselves, i'd be more than happy to attempt a review. But meh, I eat my words. Goblin 10:18, 30 August 2009 (UTC) I ♥ Yotty!
Bluegoblin7, as a friend I'm just going to ask that you take your head out of your arse and stop acting like a royal dickhead to everyone who questions you about things you do here. Anything you do at PGA is a matter of user interest thus it is only reasonable that Purplebackpack89 asked. Just Assume no Clue in future with people who are clearly misinformed rather than feuding. Promethean (talk) 02:36, 30 August 2009 (UTC)
Meh. W/e. I tried that approach and it got me blocked. Tried again and I got another block. So, now i'm trying the "Fuck The World" approach. It's working so far. Goblin 10:21, 30 August 2009 (UTC) I ♥ Nifky!
That remark has just killed you chance of a successful RFA for 6 months at least, even if you stopped or "fuck the world" approach. Promethean (talk) 10:44, 30 August 2009 (UTC)
Good, because I don't want adminship. Have you not been paying attention in ##bluegoblin7? Goblin 10:45, 30 August 2009 (UTC) I ♥ Kennedy!
Wanna cry some moar? Look, you had a run of bad luck more than anything that lead to your effective desysop, but that doesn't mean that you just throw everything away like you are seemingly doing. Harden the fuck up, get over it and move on. Promethean (talk) 10:48, 30 August 2009 (UTC)
How am I the one crying? I have got over it, i'm attempting to do what we are here to do, and I don't need some extra buttons to do that. I don't want the tools end of. I felt just as good resigning them as I did getting them, and only ever ran to get them back because people were telling me that I should. So you get over the fact that I don't want them, ok? Goblin 10:50, 30 August 2009 (UTC) I ♥ Juliancolton!

Hey there, could you just run through and make sure that the status switcher works as it should? It's relatively easy to add your own icons: it's literally just HTML, with javascript:changestatus('sleeping'), etc, iirc. Anything I should add, or is it fine as it is? Or, indeed, are you going to do it yourself? — This unsigned comment was added by Microchip08 (talk • changes).

It seemed to work ok, i'll let you know as I use the various statii if anything breaks! I'll poke you to add more when I find the icons because otherwise I have to go to the trouble of adding it to my page! Goblin 19:45, 30 August 2009 (UTC) I ♥ Shappy!
Griffin, please let BG7 add things like {{unsigned}}. The banner is decidedly annoying when there isn't actually a message. MC8 (b · t) 19:48, Sunday August 30 2009 (UTC)
Seconded. If I didn't stalk my talk page via GoblinBot2 on IRC then that would have annoyed me a lot. :| Goblin 19:49, 30 August 2009 (UTC) I ♥ Juliancolton!
What banner? Griffinofwales (talk) 19:51, 30 August 2009 (UTC)
The bright orange one saying new messages. Goblin 19:52, 30 August 2009 (UTC) I ♥ GoblinBots!
So, it doesn't show when someone doesn't sign their message? I didn't know that. Griffinofwales (talk) 19:54, 30 August 2009 (UTC)
This bar appears after every edit to a user talk page, regardless of anything. The only exception is when a bot edits it with a message marked "minor". MC8 (b · t) 19:58, Sunday August 30 2009 (UTC)
So why didn't you want me to sign your comment? Griffinofwales (talk) 20:13, 30 August 2009 (UTC)
It's not my place, but "because it triggers the big orange box even if all you are doing is doing something that isn't really needed". MC8 (b · t) 20:15, Sunday August 30 2009 (UTC)
Oh, now I understand what you were trying to tell me. You didn't want me to sign your comment because it would trigger the box again. I thought that you didn't want to trigger the box the first time (when you posted your comment). It makes sense now, thanks, Griffinofwales (talk) 20:22, 30 August 2009 (UTC)
