Hi, I've started a discussion on how we can prevent these creations. I know you had some concern of false positives. I want to see if there is a way around this. Please comment if you can. [1] Best! NonvocalScream (talk) 00:50, 3 August 2009 (UTC)[reply]

So I blocked 202.89.187.64 after you gave him a final warning (didn't see his talk page until after I'd already hit the Block button). I didn't bother reversing the block because, really, it was a worthless IP editor anyway (nothing but vandalism), but I overwrote your final warning with a block message. Just giving you a heads up and a bit of an apology. ;) EVula // talk // // 04:54, 4 August 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Ok, got it. It doesn't really matter. Chenzw  Talk  04:58, 4 August 2009 (UTC)[reply]

I don't really understand the regex all that well. The one you suggested looks a bit complicated and I am not sure exactly if to add all of it. Could you add it yourself... I don't want to make a mistake. Thanks, NonvocalScream (talk) 05:21, 4 August 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Done. On a side note, if you compare the regex on AN and on the blacklist, the change from the plus "+" sign to the question mark "?" was intentional as it was a mistake. Chenzw  Talk  06:50, 4 August 2009 (UTC)[reply]

I need a tool that will display UTC time... I got so frusterated last night because I could not remember my GMT offset to caculate UTC. :) Thank you for fixing that. NonvocalScream (talk) 14:25, 9 August 2009 (UTC)[reply]

There is one in the gadgets in your preferences. Barras || talk 14:23, 9 August 2009 (UTC)[reply]
Try FoxClocks for Firefox. I configure it to sit as a toolbar in my browser displaying the major timezones... very handy. Chenzw  Talk  14:24, 9 August 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Could you call this up, down, or split, please? It's overdue Purplebackpack89 (talk) 04:06, 18 August 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Administrative action[change source]

Greetings,

I've noticed that you undid one of my administrative actions here at user request. Please consider redoing my action, I do not wish it undone. Thank you, NonvocalScream (talk) 14:54, 20 August 2009 (UTC)[reply]

According to the OS policy, it states that oversight is done for "Removal of potentially libellous information either: a) on the advice of Wikimedia Foundation counsel or b) when the subject has specifically asked for the information to be removed from the history, the case is clear, and there is no editorial reason to keep the revision.". In this case, BG7 did not appear to ask for it to be removed, so a reversion (in theory) would do. I would not undo my restoration as BG7 specifically asked me to, so it would be best for another uninvolved admin to review this. Chenzw  Talk  15:00, 20 August 2009 (UTC)[reply]
  • I did not oversight.
  • Deletion is different from oversight.
  • We don't undo administrative actions without discussion.

Best, NonvocalScream (talk) 15:02, 20 August 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Apologies, I have mixed up deletion and oversight. I will redelete the revisions, along with an explanatory note on his talk page. Chenzw  Talk  15:07, 20 August 2009 (UTC)[reply]
Thank you for your reconsideration. In this way, we deny the vandals the attention they so crave. Very best, NonvocalScream (talk) 15:08, 20 August 2009 (UTC)[reply]
