An Editing Issue[change source]

I did not edit the Rawalwandi district article. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 204.154.122.170 (talkcontribs)

Yes, I created that cipher for a project. I was planning on animating a fanmade season 3 of the TV show "Gravity Falls" and using the cipher to code the messages at the end. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 2601:548:c100:3a80:f0e7:d1b3:efd1:c15a (talkcontribs)

@2601:548:c100:3a80:f0e7:d1b3:efd1:c15a: It may help to read WP:GNG. For the reasons that I listed in the RfD, I don't believe that your cipher is notable. Since it's just something that you've made yourself, the article likely will be deleted. That doesn't mean that we don't like your cipher, just that it's not a proper fit for an online encyclopedia. Let me know if you have any more questions here :) Computer Fizz (talk) 21:35, 7 January 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Chenzwbot Error, Part 3[change source]

Chenzwbot seems to be reverting all my changes to the Panic! at the Disco article, when all I’m trying to do is add more information because the page is a little outdated on its information. I’m new to Wikipedia btw, hopefully this can be fixed. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 207.166.239.199 (talkcontribs) 18:44, 16 December 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Someone using the same IP as you did. So you will see the notices. I am assuming you are talking about the notice from November. -DJSasso (talk) 19:32, 9 January 2020 (UTC)[reply]

account deleted or blocked?[change source]

I am the owner of Buried Inside Of Us and I was going to make a Wikipedia account to add the information, I must have added some sort of "Trigger" that sent my account into the field of "blocked." Is there any way that we can resolve this issue? I just wanted to add the information of the label and place a biography on here. Is there anyway you could give me examples of how I can do this correctly and keep things according to policy? We do appreciate any information.

Thank you,

Your IP address does not appear to be blocked. If it was really blocked you would not have been able to leave me a message on this page. If it's another user account that is blocked, please give the username of that affected account. Chenzw  Talk  05:39, 15 January 2020 (UTC)[reply]
@Chenzw: He's talking about the account named "Buried Inside Of Us" which you blocked for advertising. Computer Fizz (talk) 05:43, 15 January 2020 (UTC)[reply]
If that's the case, then unfortunately you will have to go elsewhere. Wikipedia does not allow advertising, and especially not organisations/bands trying to write about themselves. Chenzw  Talk  05:50, 15 January 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Hi, would you mind creating a new abuse filter for the LTA you blocked a while ago? It's not fool-proof but it is useful. I can email you the contents of the filter (another version) if you want. Minorax (talk) 04:19, 18 January 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Sure, email me and I will take a look at it. Chenzw  Talk  04:37, 18 January 2020 (UTC)[reply]

I have merged some of the regex rules into filter 58. Unfortunately, some of the other ones are not suitable here because of the false positives. In particular, some of the regex patterns needed to be looked into and checked against historical log data to determine the feasibility of the \b metacharacter. Chenzw  Talk  06:17, 18 January 2020 (UTC)[reply]
From what is available in the logs of test wiki, the accuracy of filter 209 seems to be close to 90% and after taking a look at the logs, filter 211 seems to be the one that is causing the false positives? Minorax (talk) 08:05, 18 January 2020 (UTC)[reply]
Some parts of filter 209 are actually going to be much more problematic than expected because the regex will match against substrings, too. Without going into more detail, matching against word boundaries is not necessarily a good solution either because of the high potential for false negatives. Logs from test.wikipedia are not necessarily indicative of actual filter performance because of the possibility of manual (non-centralauth) account creation here. I see you updated the Revision Deletes. I thought I had gone back and got the all of those, once I realized that it hide the wrong thing. Must have missed a couple. -- Enfcer (talk) 01:45, 20 January 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Conservatism[change source]

My edit to the page on conservatism was simply changing the phrase wary of to worried about in an effort to simplify the language of the page. This was not and never has been an act of vandalism. Thank you198.200.115.29 (talk) 16:09, 31 January 2020 (UTC)[reply]

I have added the edit to the bot's training queue. The bot will learn from this edit and refrain from classifying similar edits as vandalism in the future. Thank you for your report. Chenzw  Talk  16:26, 31 January 2020 (UTC)[reply]
