I think it's good. Nice and clear, very apologetic, but I however don't think they'll unban you. They just see you as a nobody who's done to many errors in the past. I don't think it's impossible for you to be unbanned (Static/fastreverter did actually manage to come back) but in you case It'll be even harder as it's at EN... Appart from all that, I think it's well written, and it made me read until the end (which is a very good thing). Hopping that you will succeed and do get un-bannedbecause you are a very good editor. Regards, and good luck, Yotcmdr =talk to the commander= 09:18, 10 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]

You seem to have been very nice in your apology. You have proved that you can be a good editor. Your behaviour was kinda bad according to the apology, but you are saying whenever you come back, you'll be better. But if you edit like you did in en, you might be indefbanned like you were on en and like Jonas. TurboGolf 09:37, 10 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Well. I really think it's nice that you decided to construct such a nice apology (I wish I did the same when I was blocked ^_^). I agree with Yotcmdr: it will be very hard to get unblocked, because the community remembers everything. Seriously. If you a few strong admins to mentor you and keep you in a mainspace majority, you might have a shot. But it will be very hard. Shapiros10 Flap the Yap 12:07, 10 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Impressed[change source]

Having read through, I must say I'm very impressed by that statement; it shows a huge improvement in maturity and understanding of the situation. Well done. I will, however, offer one word of advice: Don't let this place stress you out too much. Editing Wikipedia is a hobby, nothing more, really. Yes, its goal is fantastic, which is the primary reason I signed up. But it's only enjoyable when you're enjoying it; unlike a job, you can stop/start editing when you want, with no time constraints whatsoever. In the future, if things get a bit much, take a step back, evaluate it, work out where it went wrong, and come back with a newer perspective. I think it will help enormously. But regardless, good luck with everything, and keep up the good work. Best, PeterSymonds (talk) 12:18, 10 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]

There are two things I'd do before posting this to ENWP (if that's what you indend on doing):

  1. Change all the links to ENWP (i.e. take out the 'w:' prefix, since it won't be needed) and change all the SEWP links (i.e. add the prefix of 'simple:', since you'll be posting this on a different site)
  2. Less BOLD, ALL CAPITAL WORDS. Those can often be construed as immature, and to make a better impression, you should remove those (especially since all caps is considered cyber-shouting)...

I can tell all that you have written is sincere. As I supported your unban a few months ago, I also will do now. You have admitted your mistakes; and have proven that you can be an excellent contributor now. If and when this is noted/proposed on English Wikipedia, please alert us, I would like to see what happens. Hoping you are unbanned, TheAE talk 20:31, 10 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Comments from Malinaccier[change source]

It's generally pretty good. I would suggest that you change "What do ya say?" to something more formal and mature. I do also think that you should perhaps re-order your letter. Instead of starting out defending yourself in the sentences, "I am NOT, I repeat, NOT the person behind either Florida16 and HornetFather19 and will NOT take the fall for those, cause like I said they aren't me. These are 2 of the many impersonating accounts created by several users including the forgiven Steelerfan-94. Which is the reason for the doppelganger account 1990hornet, to prevent impersonation, as I use this username on other websites like YouTube." This should be moved to the end of your letter because if you sound like you're trying to make excuses for yourself early on people will not buy it. I would further suggest changing the sentence I just mentioned a bit and making it a little less confrontational (definitely at least remove the all caps/red "NOT"s). Other than this, fairly well done. Malinaccier (talk) (review) 22:15, 10 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]

I don't really want to get into the middle of this as I wasn't around for most of the time that you were doing what you were doing over on the English Wikipedia, but as Malinaccier said, I would recommend that you reword some of your sentences to make them sound less defensive and more supportive. Also, I can tell that what you mean is sincere, however, I am not sure that that letter will have an impact on the English Wikipedia's community because stuff like this happens quite frequently over on the English Wikipedia. Other than that, I don't have much else to say. If a !vote or discussion comes about for your unbanning over on the English Wikipedia, please let me know, as I will probably support your unbanning based upon the edits that you have made recently to this Wikipedia. Hey. That apology was pretty good. I know what it feels like to be banned at EN. It's not pretty. I don't know what some of the others are saying by "I don't think you'll be unbanned. People remember the past." Yes, people remember the past but they also acknowledge the present. I came to simple (still banned at EN) and later requested with the help of an EN admin named AGK. (which I strongly suggest you do.) The community looked at my current acct and saw that my last vandalism spree was long ago and they unbanned. I think the community would unban you. However, I recommend you wait a while and then contact someone trustworthy and kind to help you. Good luck! ѕwirlвoy  18:40, 11 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Quick scan, but "try to make amends or what-have-ya with the community" - Honestly? Make amends or whatever... I don't think thats the best wording. Thats all I have to say on this, I don't have any comments on whether or not you should be unblocked. Kennedy (talk) 09:00, 12 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]

That is really touching. I am also banned on enWp for the same reason and that should get you unbanned. I wish I could write something as good as that. VandalFighterFR(V) Bad warning? 14:13, 14 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]

This reads very colloquially to me. There's a few "cause"s -- use "because". Format it better, and use a grammar checker. Use Template:Reflist instead of superscript notes, and indicate precisely what would be gained by giving you another chance. Finally, can I entice you over to b: later?
