Salam CountyANDWestern, thank you for creating iMac G4, please use {{lowercase}} template for lowercase title pages including iPhone, iPad and iPod. You should use {{lowercase}} template for lowercase title pages in the next time. Raayaan9911 15:31, 16 May 2025 (UTC)Reply

@CountryANDWestern: It appears that I accidentally performed Vandalism on Untritrium. I was using SWViewer for one of the first times, and It looked to me like I was removing the vandalism, but instead I was reverting your edit. In that edit, you had reverted another the vandalism that I accidentally added back on Untritrium. I am sorry for any disruption this might have caused! I did not mean to cause any vandalism to the simple English Wikipedia, and I think I might keep to using AntiVandal like I used to. Cooldudeseven7 (talk) 11:27, 21 May 2025 (UTC)Reply

Appreciate the apology/explanation. Definitely suggest using new tools in a sandbox first rather than playing with them for the first time on the "live" side. CountryANDWestern (talk) 11:55, 21 May 2025 (UTC)Reply

Question about your actions

[change source]

Why did you reverted my edit in the article about Son Heung-min?

I was not a vandal, I improved it 2A00:1858:1054:848B:C8A5:8085:DACE:C44A (talk) 22:58, 27 May 2025 (UTC)Reply

“ He was taught by his father, former football player” is not grammatically correct when compared to the “who was a former football player” that is in there now. I was reverting both your grammar issue and the previous vandal changing the birth date. The only thing from your edit that I would say add back is the links to the towns but those are already covered by info box anyway. CountryANDWestern (talk) 23:09, 27 May 2025 (UTC)Reply
Dear CountryANDWestern,
Thank you for your detailed explanation. I appreciate your efforts to improve the article and your feedback regarding the grammar and links. I want to clarify that I did not change Son's age or place of birth; those remained untouched.
Regarding my recent edits, I was simply trying to add a few paragraphs about his career. The block I encountered due to the revision filter seems unusual, as I only intended to make additional contributions.
I will review your suggestions carefully and make the necessary adjustments accordingly. If you have any further recommendations or specific instructions, please do not hesitate to let me know.
Thank you again for your valuable input.
Best regards,
Martin 2A00:1858:1054:848B:C8A5:8085:DACE:C44A (talk) 01:53, 28 May 2025 (UTC)Reply
Please stop vandalizing my edits. Due to your problematic edit filters, I was unable to post my changes.
Also, stop changing every word I write. You don’t even seem to understand football, and it’s unfair to blame me for vandalism committed by someone else.
I would appreciate if you could respect my contributions and allow me to edit without unnecessary restrictions.
Thanks. 2A00:1858:1054:848B:C8A5:8085:DACE:C44A (talk) 02:04, 28 May 2025 (UTC)Reply
I understand football (or soccer as we call it here) quite well. None of my edits were vandalism. Please remember to add sources to this article. CountryANDWestern (talk) 09:13, 28 May 2025 (UTC)Reply

About the deletion tag on Fernando Sosa's article

[change source]

Hello, CountryANDWestern.

I noticed that you tagged the article about Fernando Gabriel Sosa for speedy deletion under A4. I understand and appreciate your efforts in keeping Wikipedia clean, but I’d like to kindly point out that the article has multiple reliable references (such as IMDb, Lambiek, Tebeosfera, Andrew Knighton's site, The Org, and more).

The subject has published international work, is listed on Wikidata, and is linked from several language versions (German, Esperanto, Romanian, Simple English). The article is still being expanded and improved.

I kindly ask that you allow time for further edits before considering deletion. I am more than willing to work together and improve any area that needs clarification or sourcing.

Thanks for your time and dedication.

Pugliese3 (talk) 01:19, 30 May 2025 (UTC)Reply

The subject is not notable. The fact that you put IMDB as the first "reliable" source shows that you do not understand reliable sources. You have spammed this article and subject onto multiple wikis and are blocked elsewhere for it. CountryANDWestern (talk) 01:20, 30 May 2025 (UTC)Reply
Please check WP:RSP (reccomdended EN:WP:RSP if you can read it, it has a LOT more info), it details what are considered as "reliable" and "unreliable".
IMDb is marked as Generally unreliable Generally unreliable. Thanks :) Ieditrandomarticles (talk | contribs) 02:48, 30 May 2025 (UTC)Reply

Suspected abuse of the "quick deletion" system

[change source]

 Keep - hello! it seems like you marked the article "Nyanzi Martin Luther (NML)" for quick deletion for G5. the user who created the article is not banned, so this is wrong. it also seems like you marked the reason as G11 in the edit notes. this is also not true, since the person in the article clearly meets notability guidelines and the article is clearly not advertising anything.

if you look on the article, 5 people have now left a wait template on the page, opposing your quick deletion. it is obvious that your quick deletion is controversial, and most people think its unjustified. because of your recent behaviour of quick deleting a bunch of articles, i suspect this is abuse of the quick deletion system. can you please leave the article alone and remove the controversial quick deletion request, or start deletion discussion on Nyanzi Martin Luther (NML) instead of this. thanks! Fivezies2013 (talk) 17:40, 1 June 2025 (UTC)Reply

You haven’t been around long enough to know that this is an article that has been deleted many times by a person who is now blocked. That person made a new account and is now making the article again and now using multiple IPs to make it look like there’s a lot of people in favor of keeping this. Remember, though, this isn’t a vote. CountryANDWestern (talk) 17:51, 1 June 2025 (UTC)Reply

I don’t know how long for sure. It’s an on-going thing, though. I’m not abusing the system just because some users get mad their pages are getting deleted since they’re not matching the rules. Xi Mingze

Xi Mingze was selected by you for quick deletion, on WP:N grounds. However, she is definitely notable.

Please see en:Xi Mingze (available in 17 languages). Wikipedia is not censorship. To add salt to the injury, you then warned that, I can be blocked for creating bad pages. What exactly is a "bad page"? Where do you draw the line? Yilangderen (talk) 06:54, 23 June 2025 (UTC)Reply

In June 2025, Xi Mingze attended a family dinner for visiting Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko hosted by Xi Jinping in the Chunyi Garden within Zhongnanhai.[16] https://www.zaobao.com.sg/realtime/china/story20250611-6677901 Yilangderen (talk) 06:56, 23 June 2025 (UTC)Reply

These are not showing any notability. Notability is not inherited. CountryANDWestern (talk) 23:19, 3 June 2025 (UTC)" The word "inherit" should be used in the context of "biology" and "law" (such as Donald J. Trump inherited his father's fortune). However, the point that is worthy of focus is "politics" and she is clearly a target of US politician now. So, you just can't use words out of context. https://thehill.com/homenews/nexstar_media_wire/4873145-how-much-did-trump-inherit-from-his-father/

        • It's not up to me to provide reliable sources and write the article. It's up to you to write that article if you think that the subject deserves an article. Your articles that I requested deletion on a few weeks ago did not show the subjects are notable. They basically just said X is in the son/daughter of Y. That's not showing that the person is notable. "Notability isn't inherited" is a common phrase related to biographies on Wikipedia. It means that just because your mom/dad is notable, doesn't meant that you are. You have to "prove" you're notable on your own. If the people you wrote about ARE notable, then write the article showing they are notable, not just saying who they are the child of. CountryANDWestern (talk) 10:21, 23 June 2025 (UTC)Reply

Now you are finally making sense. The page has room for improvement and needed to be rewritten. You shouldn't just label me as a "writer who writes bad pages". You were attacking me personally.

            I explained what you needed to stop doing on your talk page when I issued the warning. It wasn't a personal attack. You just did again. Please allow me time to add the references. Akaavatar (talk) 12:57, 2 June 2025 (UTC)Reply
The references you have provided so far have not established him as a notable individual. Based on the draft at English Wikipedia, this isn't an individual who meets the notability requirements for Wikipedia. CountryANDWestern (talk) 12:59, 2 June 2025 (UTC)Reply
So allow me time to add them then. It's up for seconds and you're there deleting as soon as you can. Akaavatar (talk) 13:00, 2 June 2025 (UTC)Reply
The draft at the English Wikipedia was up for a week and still didn't meet the notability requirements. I'm not sure why bringing it here would make it any different. CountryANDWestern (talk) 13:06, 2 June 2025 (UTC)Reply

Boy band changes

[change source]

Hi, C&W (may I call you C&W?). I saw that gave a final warning to the IP 2001:56A:F084:D000:1DCF:987A:BA39:94A3 because of adding a boy band category where it didn't belong. (Thanks for undoing that, by the way.) I don't think a final warning was needed yet, since that IP has made only one edit. (Yes, I know it may be a range problem.) Not only would a lower-level warning be better, it would be good to explain exactly what the issue was. After all, adding an incorrect category isn't the worst vandalism there is.

Thanks again. -- Auntof6 (talk) 03:42, 7 June 2025 (UTC)Reply

I went with the only warning as it is the return of the same IP range that has been making the boy band categorizations that you’ve noted. The range was blocked for a week on May 30 for the boy band edits. It returned to making that kind of edits within 24 hours of the block expiring. Since the IP is returning to the same pattern of edit, there’s no need to “reset” to level one warnings as it’s clearly the same user making the same edits for which they have been blocked previously. Request for feedback on Manoj Gupta article improvements

[change source]

Hello, I noticed that the article Manoj Gupta was nominated for quick deletion. I’ve added {{wait}} and done my best to rewrite it in a neutral tone, remove anything promotional, and add proper references from reliable sources including published books and media links. I genuinely want to follow Wikipedia guidelines and improve the page if anything still feels off. I may not be perfect at this, but I’m trying to learn and contribute meaningfully. I kindly request your feedback or suggestions so I can make further changes if needed. I would really appreciate a chance to improve instead of the article being deleted. Thank you.

Shru1122 (talk) 10:11, 23 June 2025 (UTC)Reply

There's nothing in the article that I can see that makes him meet our notability standards. The sources provided don't show significant coverage of him either. CountryANDWestern (talk) 10:17, 23 June 2025 (UTC)Reply
Thanks for getting back to me.
Just to share my thinking, I do feel Manoj Gupta meets notability based on a few solid points:
- He’s authored two published books (both with ISBNs)
- He’s given two TEDx talks (both on official TEDx YouTube channels)
- He was Managing Director at Qualitest Group, a global tech firm with credible media mentions
- He also started the “Consciouspreneur” platform, which has been independently covered by sites like New Business UK and NRI Pulse
I really tried to keep the tone neutral and back everything with reliable sources, nothing promotional. If there’s a gap I’m missing, I’m totally open to feedback and making changes. I’d genuinely prefer to improve the article rather than lose it if there’s still a chance.
Appreciate your time either way. Shru1122 (talk) 10:36, 23 June 2025 (UTC)Reply

What is the basis for you to say "Please stop adding links to the English Wikipedia throughout articles. We prefer to leave redlinks so that it encourages the creation of articles here on Simple English Wikipedia. If we have them link to the English Wikipedia, people won't notice as much that we need the article here." Did you read an authoritative "guideline" somewhere on adding "link to other language Wikipedia" vs "redlink"? Where exactly does it say that "redlink" is good editing / should always be used/ really encouraged? Yilangderen (talk) 03:21, 25 June 2025 (UTC)Reply

See WP:REDLINK ("It is useful in changing article text to create a red link to show that a page will be created soon or that an article should be created for the topic because the subject is notable and verifiable. One study conducted in 2008 showed that red links helped Wikipedia grow." and WP:Interwiki ("These type of links should be kept to a minimum."). The amount that you were putting into articles was not minimal by any means. CountryANDWestern (talk) 10:15, 25 June 2025 (UTC)Reply
Alright, more red-links then. I found this useful "Manual of Style" by the way because a lot of the political issues are based on specific events (mentioned in different articles' sections).
"If an existing article has a section specifically about a topic, linking to that section takes the reader directly to the relevant information... the § character."
https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia:Manual_of_Style/Linking Yilangderen (talk) 14:57, 25 June 2025 (UTC)Reply
I will start using red-links, to encourage new page creation, to replace most of the :En blue links in the List of Chinese dissidents page. Yilangderen (talk) 15:01, 25 June 2025 (UTC)Reply
A useful example is en:Xi_Mingze#Information_leak (links to a specific section). The editors at English Wikipedia think that "Niu Tengyu" does not have enough notability to be written to a separate article, but his political and legal relationship with Xi Mingze is notable. You are in breach of BRD, which applies here as it does on all wikis.

You made a bold edit, which I have reverted (reasons given on the article's talk page) and you must now discuss your bold edit with the person who reverted you (and) don't restore your bold edit. So, would you like to undo your latest edit, as per BRD, and discuss the matter? Best to do that at the talk page, where I have actually begun the discussion.

I see that you were completely new to Wikipedia when you made your first edit here on 15 May. You had not previously edited enwiki or any others. As you are still a relatively new editor, you remain very much on the learning curve, and BRD is one concept that you really must understand and follow.

Having said that, I have to say I am surprised that a completely new editor could begin their Wikipedia career by using a warning template and then, only a few minutes later, loading the monobook.js and the twinkleoptions.js.

Thank you. Jack (talk) 11:15, 6 July 2025 (UTC)Reply

Two things: one - you’ll notice the big “optional” image at the top of the BRD page. Two - adding three sentences to expand a stub is not a “bold” edit. CountryANDWestern (talk) 11:20, 6 July 2025 (UTC)Reply
It is strictly optional, yes, but it is both necessary and expected if there is a disagreement. Please comply with BRD or this is going to be escalated. Also, any edit that adds content is w:WP:BOLD, especially when it is challenged. Thank you. Jack (talk) 11:30, 6 July 2025 (UTC)Reply
Again, I stand by my edits. CountryANDWestern (talk) 11:33, 6 July 2025 (UTC)Reply
As for your sarcastic comment about not following enwiki's naming conventions, it just may be that the The Village is the accepted and used name of the ground in Malahide, and it may just also be that Ireland is a combined team which is therefore not a national one (same as England and the West Indies). Also, as there is a prominent Ireland women's team, we need to differentiate between the two. Finally, we are under no obligation to follow anything on another wiki. As a new and inexperienced editor who has been on Wikipedia for less than two months, you may not yet be fully conversant with w:WP:V, in which you will see that Wikipedia itself is not a reliable source. Thanks. Jack (talk) 11:27, 6 July 2025 (UTC)Reply

Just a friendly FYI, the only people who can remove QD tags, unless they are Vandalism are admins. Regards, fr33kman 13:45, 6 July 2025 (UTC)Reply

My apologies but that was a pretty silly one and a pretty obvious one - tagged for deletion because the last editor was blocked? Note that when we warn users about removing QDs, we say “without a good reason” and not “because only admin can remove them.” I think mine was a good reason. David Yang

[change source]

Hi, C&W. I saw that you reverted this page back to a redirect. It's okay to have red links on a dab page. Part of the reason is that so many articles here are brought over from enwiki. If such an article comes over with a link to just "David Yang" and that page here is a redirect, then the reader will get directed to the violist whether or not that is who the article was referring to. We have to think of all the possible meanings of a term, not just the ones we have articles for. -- Auntof6 (talk) 14:07, 17 July 2025 (UTC)Reply

The person who that redlink is for has been found not to be notable both here and at En. via RFD and AFd. A dab page is not necessary because no second entry will exist. In fact, we truly should delete the David Yang page and move the violinist to it as the primary subject rather than a redirect to the violinist page. CountryANDWestern (talk) 14:12, 17 July 2025 (UTC)Reply
Well, there is en:David Yang (businessman), but I guess you're right. I'll make the change you suggest. -- Auntof6 (talk) 01:11, 18 July 2025 (UTC)Reply

Request to Remove Deletion Tag "Eduardo Ferro"

[change source]

Hello CountryANDWestern,

I kindly request you to reconsider the quick deletion tag on the Eduardo Ferro page. The article includes multiple reliable, independent sources and clearly demonstrates notability through significant coverage in international media (e.g. Variety, Yahoo, ESPN) related to his work as a film director and producer, including the HBO-released O Faixa Preta and the widely reported Charles Oliveira biopic.

Thank you for your time and consideration. Preceding unsigned comment added by NeutralNibs (talkcontribs) 10:51, 24 July 2025 (UTC)Reply

No, I agree with the assessment of the two editors who already added the tags and will allow a third administrator to review for final determination. I disagree with your assessment that this is a notable individual. CountryANDWestern (talk) 10:54, 24 July 2025 (UTC)Reply

Hello Country and Western, I was the user who reviewed the page of journalist Julian Aristiqui, and doing a quick search on the web I see that he is a relevant person, not to mention that he has links to other wikis, I don't see that he qualifies for quick deletion, it is true that he may have minimal defects but it can be fixed. Sir Banking (talk) 09:57, 31 July 2025 (UTC)Reply

Being a stockholder in a bank doesn’t show notability to me. The two sources provided merely mention his name. One says what percentage he owns; the other doesn’t actually mention him, it mentions his family. CountryANDWestern (talk) 10:17, 31 July 2025 (UTC)Reply
Being a shareholder makes you an owner of a bank, so in my opinion, it's not something that should be overlooked. I'd at least open a request for deletion. Sir Banking (talk) 10:56, 31 July 2025 (UTC)Reply

I have a few scripts that help me keep it limited to differences and user contribution page, also gives an option to change my rollback summary so it ends up becoming a two click process. Still will be much quicker and efficient than twinkle.

Try adding this to your commons.js:

        var summary = prompt("Enter rollback summary:", "<use default>");
        if(summary === null || summary === "") {
            ev=ev || window.event;
            if(ev.preventDefault) ev.preventDefault();
            if(ev.stopPropagation) ev.stopPropagation();
            ev.returnValue = false;
            ev.cancelBubble = true;
            return false;
        }
        if(summary != "<use default>")
            this.href = this.href.replace("?", "?summary=" + encodeURIComponent(summary) + "&");
        return true;

    var links=document.getElementById('content').getElementsByTagName('a');
    for(var i=links.length-1; i>=0; i--){
        if(/[?&]action=rollback([&#]|$)/.test(links[i].href))

I actually wrote the original versions of those articles on the English Wikipedia myself under the same username, Orthodox Yash. There is no true guide but the most important thing is that articles need to be based on reliable, independent sources. Some guidelines and rules about biographies can be found at Wikipedia:Notability (people). CountryANDWestern (talk) 19:52, 18 August 2025 (UTC)Reply

iranian barista

[change source]

I respectfully disagree with the proposed speedy deletion of this article under G11 (obvious advertising). The article has been revised to ensure neutrality and compliance with Wikipedia's policies, particularly WP:NPOV and WP:RS. The concerns regarding references pointing to a single company have been addressed by removing all promotional links, specifically those related to iranbarista.org, and focusing on independent, reliable sources such as Perfect Daily Grind, academic publications (e.g., Matthee, 2005; Chehabi, 2003), and reputable platforms like World Barista Championship.

The article now provides a broad overview of the barista profession in Iran, covering its historical roots, modern developments, and cultural significance, without promoting any specific organization. It includes diverse sources to support its claims and focuses on the industry as a whole, including national championships, the role of women in the coffee sector, and general training practices. Any perceived promotional content has been eliminated to align with Wikipedia's standards for encyclopedic tone and verifiability.

I believe the article now meets Wikipedia's notability criteria (WP:NOTABILITY) and serves as a valuable addition to topics related to Iranian culture and global coffee culture. I am open to further suggestions for improvement to ensure it fully complies with Wikipedia's guidelines. Thank you for considering this request. ~~~~ Onewikiuoser (talk) 18:40, 8 October 2025 (UTC)Reply

I deleted the article anyways per A2, but just fyi Fandom stuff can be quite easily resolved with attribution. User talk:Ferien/Archives/2021/July#Fandom copyright violation? goes into it in a little more detail, although I am not a fan of keeping articles that have come from there as they are quite out of our scope and usually very poorly sourced. --Ferien (talk | join TBA!) 15:07, 10 October 2025 (UTC)Reply

Taiwo Osijo

[change source]

Hi mate, trust this finds you well. I noticed your nomination of the Taiwo Osijo article for deletion, partly on the grounds that it appeared AI-generated. I just wanted to clarify that the article was entirely written and sourced by a human editor with reliable independent sources from notable Nigerian news outlets including Tribune, Vanguard, Independent Nigeria and Premium times, and I’m curious, is there any specific indicator that led you to believe it was AI generated, or was that an assumption based on style or formatting?

I say this in good faith, and I truly appreciate your effort to keep Wikipedia reliable. I’d be grateful if you could review the article again on the basis of verifiable sourcing and policy, rather than possible assumptions. Thank you for your time and for contributing to improving article quality.Nnamdi93 (talk) 15:12, 15 October 2025 (UTC)Reply

The sources appear to be AI-generated, not the article itself. CountryANDWestern (talk) 15:13, 15 October 2025 (UTC)Reply
Thank you for clarifying. Kindly note that all the sources cited in the article are verifiable independent Nigerian media outlets with existing online publications. For example, Tribune Online, Vanguard Nigeria, and Independent.ng. None were AI-generated. I’ve double-checked each citation to ensure they link to live, independent news reports with bylines. You may equally click on the links for proper verification and analysis.
However, if there is a particular reference that seems questionable, please feel free to point it out and I’ll gladly replace or verify it. My goal is to maintain transparency and ensure the article meets WP:RS and WP:V standards. Thanks.Nnamdi93 (talk) 16:48, 15 October 2025 (UTC)Reply

Deletion request for IDC futsal 2025

[change source]

Hello, Is it necessary to ask for deletion ? I use this page for testing new templates as well. It improves futsal templates for major competitions. IDC Futsal and Football is major sport event at Fiji

Regards Vaclav TechSportScience (talk) 12:44, 19 October 2025 (UTC)Reply

Yes, it is necessary. We don't keep pages around for non-notable things. We also don't keep articles as testing grounds. We have sandboxes for that reason. CountryANDWestern (talk) 13:06, 19 October 2025 (UTC)Reply
But why it is non-notable ?
there is no Pacific Wiki edition and it is mainly main football event at the Fiji.
By the way general event page was NOTABLE at EN and FR edition.
They just did not want 2025,2024 subpage. So please get correct informamtion
first. TechSportScience (talk) 13:11, 19 October 2025 (UTC)Reply

Violation of the 3RR

After you warned about the 3RR, I immediately followed it but the user @Neutralwikipedian violated it again on the page named, Karauli Princely State. I don’t know why this user is so desperate to add the term ‘yadav’ on that page with very poor source while there’s no authentic sources to support such claim. Moreover, if we have a look on the same article on en.wikipedia, that too doesn’t says anything about the sourceless information that this user is trying to add by removing the sourced one instead. I request you to intervene and also a user check be conducted on this account as i suspect this user to be @GhoshThakur that was previously blocked. Tagging @Plutus as previously i took help from Plutus by reporting that account on the board of administrators. Thanks MrBeardalien (talk) 12:46, 21 October 2025 (UTC)Reply

I think u also need to note that this users contribution are biased to Rajput and also looks like a sock of Vikrangerr who previously did wrong to articles now blocked. He restore previous unrealiable version of karauli princely state, as article belongs to Jadauns whos origin from Yadavs i.e. you should note this. Neutralwikipedian (talk) 12:57, 21 October 2025 (UTC)Reply
I am ready for a user check. It should be done on both the accounts for ensuring who’s real and who’s a sock. Also, the edit summary of that article must be checked as i’m not the only good faith user that restored the page to the last version but other very well known users also reverted that article to the revision that i reverted that page to. Thanks MrBeardalien (talk) 13:01, 21 October 2025 (UTC)Reply
All my information were totally with citation and with reliable sources And You should note that this user looks like A pov editor of 'rajput' you can see it by seeing it's contributions. I edit this page as it need to be cleaned up, None of other user instead him revert my edit Reason as he is a pov editor of rajput who don't want real information to article , so I think u should note this, Thanks. Neutralwikipedian (talk) 13:04, 21 October 2025 (UTC)Reply
Firstly you need to improve your grammar my friend and also your command on the language. Secondly, reverting the articles on to the last fair revision doesn’t makes any user some specific ‘caste povpusher’ as that’s what all the users preventing vandalism do. I would be grateful if anybody wants to see my contributions as they would surely appreciate me for my fair contributions. Lastly, it’s not considered polite to carry some debate on someone’s userpage so let’s wait for the user to respond. Have a nice day! MrBeardalien (talk) 13:08, 21 October 2025 (UTC)Reply

As Plutus said, guys have a look at this. This account has been blocked from en.wikipedia for sock puppetry and being a sockpuppet of @GhoshThakur. This account really created alot of trouble and i did my best to save that article from povpush, until some random ip addresses and a new account entered. (surely another sock of the same person) but i’m happy that finally the truth came out. MrBeardalien (talk) 13:11, 22 October 2025 (UTC)Reply
I think you should leave all the Caste based pages related to Rajput and Yadavs after that not such conflicts acuured I also advice you to don't do such Pov again as History does not change after such things and surely ip addresses and account all belongs to you. misusing section A3 of QD

[change source]

hello CountryANDWestern, i have recently seen that you have been trying to delete multiple pages of mine under section A3 of QD, i reviewed my pages and saw they were simple enough for the simple wiki, we can discuss this here if you'd like. Jsanihsjsn (talk) 12:59, 22 October 2025 (UTC)Reply

A. They were not simple enough. They contain complex words and sentence structures. B. You still need to provide attribution when you copy and paste something from another wiki. Not providing attribution is a copyright violation and can also result in the articles being quick deleted. CountryANDWestern (talk) 13:03, 22 October 2025 (UTC)Reply
A. i do not think "led mainly", "spiritual leadership", or and "notable commanders" are complex, they are basic english words. B. some pages on here copy paste it from the english wiki and edit on top of it to make it simple, which is what i did, I will try my best to simplify it even more. Jsanihsjsn (talk) 13:11, 22 October 2025 (UTC)Reply
@Jsanihsjsn, if you haven't already done so, you need to read Wikipedia:How_to_write_Simple_English_pages. Take the Shimun XIX Benyamin page which you copied parts from en wiki (unattributed, by the way - that's a bad thing, you MUST give credit). "served" is not considered part of simple english, use "was". The opening sentence is a massive compound sentence, that's not simple english. It needs to be broken up into smaller sentences. There's an online checker you can use to help find complex words at . Set the processing type option at the bottom to "Mark each complicated word" and check the response. That will help you find the complex words that you should think about changing, but it won't help with sentence structure.
And remember to give credit when you copy pages from other Wikipedia sites. Please do so for other pages you've copied over and did not give appropriate credit. Ravensfire (talk) 14:17, 22 October 2025 (UTC)Reply
Thank you for the tool! i apologize for that mistake, i will make sure to use the tool properly and give credit when possible, i will try to not repeat the same mistake again. Jsanihsjsn (talk) 14:26, 22 October 2025 (UTC)Reply
just to make this clear, who am i supposed to give credit for exactly? in the mar shimun page for the english wiki there are a lot of people who edited the page, who do i choose to credit? Jsanihsjsn (talk) 14:36, 22 October 2025 (UTC)Reply
(talk page stalker) Jsanihsjsn, if you use the {{translated page}} template, you don't have to credit the author directly. You can use the format {{translated page|en|Mar Shimun|version=(version number)}}. You can get the version number by going to history, the latest revision and copying the number after oldid= in the URL. --Ferien (talk | join TBA!) 14:38, 22 October 2025 (UTC)Reply

The article asserts notability with significant, independent secondary coverage: multiple motorsport outlets report plans to revive the Caterham name in F1 (Motorsport Week, Motorsport.com, PlanetF1, Newsweek), plus additional reporting on a potential Reading FC investment (Inside World Football) and hospitality chair appointments (Hotelier Maldives; HospitalityNet).

Hello CountyAndWestern, I apologize for not simplifying United States Associate Attorney General when creating the page last night and just copying. This morning I went back to re-create the page and actual simplify the page for a better understanding because the page of the United States Associate Attorney General is needed given they are the third-highest ranking official of the DOJ, given earlier I also created the page of the U.S. Deputy Secretary of Homeland Security.

I just wanted to let you know my perspective, I don't wish any conflict on editing pages. If the page still shouldn't be here please let me know.

Not doing so is a copyright violation. Please take a look through Wikipedia:How to copy from another Wikipedia for more information on how to properly bring information over from another wiki. (talk page stalker) Baangla, the Simple English Wikipedia page doesn't have to match the English Wikipedia one in structure or even be close to it. It just often is as that is the easier way of creating an article. --Ferien (talk | join TBA!) 20:40, 7 November 2025 (UTC)Reply

re: salt

[change source]

I won't be salting that article - or any of the others they're creating - because I know they will just move over to another. This will also apply to some other times where admins don't protect pages. In some ways, it is quite useful having pages that we all know they target, as it acts as a honeypot for them. I hope that makes sense. --Ferien (talk | join TBA!) 11:25, 12 November 2025 (UTC)Reply

Yeah understandable. I don’t think it makes a big difference one way or another. They’ve been making some articles with parenthetical descriptors like (footballer) or (born 2003) regardless of salt status or not. The honeypot aspect could make it easier for tracking the history but I feel like the history is hard enough to track down and kind of irrelevant at this point as it doesn’t matter where it started, we’ll just continue treating it the same way. @Baangla ONESTRIKE means that since you've been blocked from editing on the English Wikipedia site, if you continue any of the behaviors here, you will end up being blocked indefinitely here. Your warning is that you were blocked on en wiki - if you make the same bad edits here, that is what will happen to you. The rules are generally the same as on en wiki, but the main difference is this site uses simpler english. Read the page at Wikipedia:About#Simple_English. FYI after closure: Already fixed it, your last comment pointed at "They comes with five color" - Subject-verb agreement with they and comes in this. I think you're pointed out "five color", actually it's "five colors" in the selection. Raayaan9911 18:19, 12 December 2025 (UTC)Reply

"They comes" is still not correct, though. If you're using They, then the proper verb tense is come. CountryANDWestern (talk) 18:29, 12 December 2025 (UTC)Reply

Information icon Hello CountryANDWestern. Thanks for checking new pages – it's a very important job! I'm just letting you know, however, that it isn't good to mark pages for deletion as having too little meaning (CSD A1) and/or being fully empty (CSD A2) right after they are started, as you did at Charlie Young. It's usually best to wait at least 10-15 minutes for more to be written if the page is very short; tagging these pages overly quickly might drive away well-meaning editors, which is not good for Wikipedia. Attack pages (G10), nonsensical pages (G1), pages that break copyright law (G12), complete vandalism (G3) and clear hoaxes (A6) should of course still be tagged and deleted right away. Thanks. Passengerpigeon (talk) 20:10, 11 January 2026 (UTC)Reply

That wasn’t a well-meaning editor, though. That was an LTA. They’ve made that and Charlie Young (musician) many times in the same infobox only state. I clicked A2 because that’s a quick “explanation” instead of G5 where a patrolling admin might not be aware of the LTA history, and I didn’t have the name of the LTA available off the top of my head. CountryANDWestern (talk) 20:22, 11 January 2026 (UTC)Reply
Ah, OK. Do you have any idea which LTA has been creating Slushy The Flying Puppy and related articles about made-up TV shows? Also, requesting salting is often counterproductive for page titles used by dedicated LTAs (as opposed to low-effort "drive-by" vandalism targets, genuine mistake titles like Create a new article or admin usernames like Ferien) because they will continue to create it under new spelling variants and this makes detection harder. Thanks, Passengerpigeon (talk) 20:26, 11 January 2026 (UTC)Reply
It’s probably the same vandal who creates hoax articles on Krypto the Runt, but I can’t say for certain.
Also, I’m well aware of the ins and outs of Wikipedia. I know you’re well intentioned, but you don’t need to be linking to essays or importing templates specifically to try to educate me. CountryANDWestern (talk) 20:41, 11 January 2026 (UTC)Reply
Yes, I am aware you're experienced, and the essay I linked is just a competing idea (the other being that salting should be used more widely) and not a policy; seeing the page get tagged quickly (when I didn't know it was an LTA) inspired me to create the template, but not specifically to use on your talk page; it will obviously also be useful in other cases. Passengerpigeon (talk) 20:44, 11 January 2026 (UTC)Reply
Understood. Just bear DTTR in mind! CountryANDWestern (talk) 20:53, 11 January 2026 (UTC)Reply
By the way, what do you think should be done about Esteban McKeever, who continues to create content-free gazetteer entry "articles" about populated places at a high rate? Whilst they aren't technically breaking Wikipedia policies, their lack of communication and anti-consensus editing is frustrating. Well, I say they're not breaking policies, but they are, by creating many of these pages without a source. Passengerpigeon (talk) 00:32, 13 January 2026 (UTC)Reply
I had started a thread about them at AN a few weeks back but that went without action and comment from administration. If you want to open another one, go for it. They haven’t responded to my comments from earlier and continued the same actions. CountryANDWestern (talk) 01:32, 13 January 2026 (UTC)Reply

I think the thread went stale because Esteban claimed he understood what he had been warned about, and although he seems to have gotten the memo about spurious vandalism warnings, he is still creating substubs. I'd be inclined to put a "final warning before reporting" on his talk if he doesn't reign it in within a couple of days, but the thing is, I'm worried I'd be unjustly hounding the editor - although gazetteer entry creation is against consensus, what firm policy is he breaking that would justify sanctions? Plus, I'm not keen on seeing a clearly well-intentioned if sometimes bumbling editor blocked to begin with; do we have editing restrictions on the Simple English Wikipedia? I think a requirement to create all new articles with at least 250 words of main body text and one reference would be ideal, similar to what was done with Lugnuts on enwiki. Passengerpigeon (talk) 03:48, 13 January 2026 (UTC)Reply

Well, Passengerpigeon, if this new article has two more sources, we will find it eventually. I will not get a warning before you will learned his lesson. I told you before that I learned about settlements and much more. When editors needs help, so you can talk about it later. Esteban McKeever (talk) 04:29, 13 January 2026 (UTC)Reply
The main body text will start at least 250 words so we can find a square kilometers and miles but it wasn't that hard. Thanks for appreciate it, Passengerpigeon. I'll focus what the infobox say. Esteban McKeever (talk) 04:42, 13 January 2026 (UTC)Reply

Help needed at Administrators' Noticeboard

[change source]

Hello. I apologize for asking you directly, but I posted a report on the Wikipedia:Administrators' noticeboard yesterday regarding a consensus violation and edit warring at 2025 India–Pakistan conflict.

It has been about 1 day with no response, and the disruptive editing is continuing. Could you please take a look when you have a moment? I would appreciate your help. Thank you. Zubarkokar (talk) 17:38, 15 January 2026 (UTC)Reply

There's nothing I can do to assist. I have intervened at the level that I can by reporting the on-going dispute to AN myself. CountryANDWestern (talk) 17:41, 15 January 2026 (UTC)Reply
