Please use appropriate warning levels[change source]

Once again, you are not following the procedure for giving warnings. You gave Professor annzac a level three warning with no previous warnings. You should have given a level 1 warning first, followed if needed by level 2 and then level 3. You've been told about this before. We don't assume that people know the rules here. Since anyone can edit Wikipedia, some people think they can do whatever they want. The warnings are designed to explain what's allowed. They start with gentler wording, then gradually change to being more stern and letting users know what actions can be taken if they keep making bad edits. A lot of thought was put into deciding how to graduate the warnings -- Wikipedia does not want to come down hard on editors without giving them the benefit of the doubt first.

Besides that, that editor has only made one edit. Although it was vandalism, we want to see more of a pattern before calling it a vandalism-only account. --Auntof6 (talk) 18:05, 10 February 2014 (UTC)[reply]
