July 2022[change source]

Information.svg Hello, DIVINE! Here at Simple English Wikipedia we use the section heading "Other websites" instead of English Wikipedia's "External links", which you used in "Bongkosh Ngamsom Rittichainuwat". This makes it simpler and easier to read. Please remember to use "Other websites" in articles that you create in the future. Thank you for your help! MathXplore (talk) 11:35, 14 July 2022 (UTC)Reply[reply]

Oops, I'm not familiar with Simple English Wikipedia, and I appreciate you reminding me. Could you please recommend any useful tools for me to install? I mostly examine manuscripts and combat vandalism and am familiar with notability criteria. So, I'd appreciate it if you could assist me more. DIVINE (talk) 11:39, 14 July 2022 (UTC)Reply[reply]
I see you already have HotCat and Twinkle. I think these are enough for now. For tools that I'm using you can see them at User:MathXplore/common.js, but please use those tools with your responsibility. MathXplore (talk) 11:44, 14 July 2022 (UTC)Reply[reply]
Thankyou. DIVINE (talk) 11:45, 14 July 2022 (UTC)Reply[reply]

No sources tagging[change source]

Hello and welcome. Please be aware that mass tagging articles for no sources is probably not a good use of your time. These articles will not really get looked at by anyone else for years and years on end and it's probably better fixing them yourself. --Ferien (talk) 18:22, 15 July 2022 (UTC)Reply[reply]

As far as I know or understand Wikipedia if there are no sources we can tag them while reviewing the article so in the future other people can fix them as everyone doesn't have time to fix them like me who's busy tagging and like you who left a message on my talk page instead of fixing yourself. DIVINE (talk) 18:25, 15 July 2022 (UTC)Reply[reply]
Mass tagging is generally viewed as unhelpful within the community. It makes pages look crappy and they are only stubs. Look at this article for example. It's a basic one sentence stub. It does not need sourcing. What it needs is expanding. That's what the stub tag is for. The article at present does not needed sources and so it's just putting it in another maintenance category for the hell of it. We already have a ton of articles that have been tagged that I sometimes work on, but they are not going to get fixed overnight, especially if you keep tagging at a rate of 2 per minute, when it is helping no-one. --Ferien (talk) 20:55, 15 July 2022 (UTC)Reply[reply]
In about 4 minutes, I've managed to do 4 articles, just to make sure each of the articles are sourced. And that's with some pretty slow loading times as well. The main issue here is amount of content, which is not the purpose of the no sources category. If you have the time to load Twinkle up and scroll and choose a specific tag, there's no doubt you have the time to go to enwiki and add some basic facts about the place with a source. --Ferien (talk) 21:07, 15 July 2022 (UTC)Reply[reply]
perfect, got you.  DIVINE  07:06, 16 July 2022 (UTC)Reply[reply]

Adding references[change source]

When you see an article that says it needs inline citations, then that means we need inline citations. There are a lot of sources on Battle of Halidon Hill that are not referenced and should be. It they can’t be linked in the article they should be removed. Da LambTalk to me!OMG, What have I done? 08:08, 19 July 2022 (UTC)Reply[reply]

Ah, I see. I've already added references, and I'll also omit any irrelevant sources. Thank you for bringing it up, and if you can, kindly assist in fixing the article as well.  DIVINE  08:13, 19 July 2022 (UTC)Reply[reply]

Nepalese people categories[change source]

Category:Nepalese people by occupation is a container category, please do not include articles to here. In addition, Dhan Bahadur Buda is already included in Category:Nepalese politicians, so there is no need to add Category:Nepalese people to here. MathXplore (talk) 10:18, 19 July 2022 (UTC)Reply[reply]

I used the logic that he was a Nepali person before becoming a politician. Thank you for making that observation. I sometimes focus too much of my mental energy on peculiar things. Regards,  DIVINE  10:22, 19 July 2022 (UTC)Reply[reply]

This is a wasteland[change source]

Oh my, I have tried to contact stewards but there are some problems with the bot in IRC. Hockeycatcat (talk) 14:42, 19 July 2022 (UTC)Reply[reply]

Finally the IP is blocked! Hockeycatcat (talk) 14:44, 19 July 2022 (UTC)Reply[reply]
Oh, I was about to contact stewards on IRC.  DIVINE  14:47, 19 July 2022 (UTC)Reply[reply]

It's so handy! I've used it 3 times in the past 2 days! Hockeycatcat (talk) 14:49, 19 July 2022 (UTC)Reply[reply]

Empty sections[change source]

I saw on Pratik Gauri you removed the 3 links that were put in there, however, you did not remove the header. Please remember for the future, that if there is nothing in a section to remove the header as well. This one has been taken care of as there is a website (official website) that can go in there. Here on simple, we also do allow the use of social media if that is the persons main way of communicating with their fans Template:Twitter. Da LambTalk to me!OMG, What have I done? 17:37, 19 July 2022 (UTC)Reply[reply]

Oh, I'm glad you told me about it since I had assumed it was somewhat similar to the English Wikipedia.  DIVINE  17:44, 19 July 2022 (UTC)Reply[reply]
No worries, also when you can check through all the edit summaries as this article is at RfD and an IP editor kept removing it so I just restored it to a previous version that had the RfD tag on it and then re-removed the information. All links and everything trigger our filters. Usually a good sign to me that there is a problem. :) Da LambTalk to me!OMG, What have I done? 17:49, 19 July 2022 (UTC)Reply[reply]
I was considering asking for its deletion later today, but I just realized that someone else had previously requested its deletion a few days prior, after you had reinstated the RFD tag.  DIVINE  17:52, 19 July 2022 (UTC)Reply[reply]

RfD nomination of Priyanka Rani Joshi[change source]

An editor has requested deletion of Priyanka Rani Joshi, an article you created. We appreciate your changes, but the nominator doesn't believe that the article meets Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion and has explained why in the nomination (see also "What Wikipedia is not").

Please comment on the discussion by adding your comments at Wikipedia:Requests for deletion/Requests/2022/Priyanka Rani Joshi and please be sure to sign your comments with four tildes (~~~~).

You may also change the article during the discussion to address the nominator's concerns. But you should not remove the requests for deletion template from the top of the article; such removal will not end the deletion debate. Thank you very much. --Ferien (talk) 06:31, 14 October 2022 (UTC)Reply[reply]
