4 days old[change source]

How will i know if i am four days old?

Runningblader 00:36, 29 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]

You will be four days old at around 5:30PM tomorrow night. Razorflame 00:37, 29 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]
(Razorflame): Wouldn't it be close to 3:30PM if you are referring to your time? You're one hour behind me, and 21:00 UTC is 4:00PM for me. Lights § talk 01:07, 29 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Actually, it doesn't update the since template until around 6:00PM for me for some reason. Razorflame 01:08, 29 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]
For some reason the template doesn't update sometimes. Click the "purge server cache" link beside your edit count bar and it should update. Cheers, Lights § talk 01:13, 29 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]
I've noticed that sometimes. *Gives Lights a big cookie! :)* Razorflame 17:10, 29 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Runningblader 01:09, 29 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Will you be on after 21:18 UTC? Lights § talk 01:13, 29 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]

lol idk the UTC time

Runningblader 01:28, 29 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]

If you live in...
Eastern Time Zone (North America) - 21:18 UTC is 4:18PM
Central Time Zone - 21:18 UTC is 3:18PM
en:Mountain Time Zone - 21:18 UTC is 2:18PM
en:Pacific Time Zone - 21:18 UTC is 1:18PM
en:Alaska Time Zone - 21:18 UTC is 12:18PM
en:Hawaii-Aleutian time zone - 21:18 UTC is 11:18AM
Hope that helps. Btw, we messed up. Right now it's January 29 in UTC time, but in all of the United States it's still January 28, so there's still a bit under two more days left. Lights § talk 01:40, 29 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]

I live in Eastern time zone and yes i will be on after that time this is last message for the night

Runningblader 02:01, 29 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]

I'll have to do it on the 30th. I live in the same time zone, and right now it's still the 28th. If I protect it now, you won't be able to edit it tommorow (our time). Lights § talk 02:39, 29 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]

ok you can protect it on the 30th.

New siggy[change source]

It's that time of year again :) Yep, siggy time! Anyways, I was wondering if you could make me yet another signature. Seeing how I suck at making signatures, I was wondering if you could make a signature that goes from orange to cyan, and if I don't like that one, one from yellow to black. Thanks Razorflame 17:11, 29 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Orange to cyan:

Razorflame

If you want it a bit easier to read, this one goes from orange to sky blue:

Razorflame

And a yellow to black in case you don't like the others:

I just placed them over some of my old signature pages, so no need for this. Razorflame 21:16, 31 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Signature question[change source]

Hello, Lights. A user under the name of "Christianman16" has a very large signature. Reading over WP:SIG, <big> tags are not allowed, but his signature does not employ these tags. Is it still allowed? His signature is below. Thanks. JetLover Bam! 03:37, 31 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]

.-- ChristianMan16

True his signature doesn't have any <big> tags, but his is even bigger than using one <big>. It's also too long in code, it shouldn't be more than three lines and his is five lines. I will ask him to change his signature. Lights § talk 12:47, 31 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Vandalism[change source]

I notice you reverted a vandalism to Renaissance. Much appreciated, but you reverted it to another vandalism that was just as vulgar! Can I suggest, gently, that if there are several edits by different parties who don't have registered names, they may all be equally troublesome and need systematically checking before applying a reversion.

The problem is that where a responsible editor has been by and reverted, one tends to presume that there is no further problem. On one occasion, in an article that I had written, someone reverted a vulgarity, but didn't pick up the fact that the editor immediately before that had deleted nearly 1/4 of the article. I didn't notice it for weeks, and then had difficulty discovering where the latest version of the text was. Amandajm (talk) 04:59, 31 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Will check earlier edits also when reverting vandalism in the future. Lights § talk 12:45, 31 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Signature help for Muddyb Blast Producer[change source]

Muddyb Blast Producer has asked me to help him make a signature, and to tell you the truth, I suck at making signatures. Would you consider sending him a message on his talk page so that he can get a signature? Thanks, Razorflame 14:28, 31 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Will leave him a message in a minute. Cheers, Lights § talk 21:14, 31 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]

I have shortened the code to three line and made text size smaller okay?

here's the code to my sig:

(code removed so it doesn't stretch page)

Thank you. -- ChristianMan16 19:25, 31 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]

It's four lines of code in the editing window. And I would recommend making it smaller, normal text is about ⅔ the size of your signature. Thanks. Lights § talk 21:14, 31 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]
On my screen it's 3 lines of code.-- ChristianMan16 21:33, 1 February 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Gravitation[change source]

Hey! I just finished a huge page. Gravitation. It took me 40 minutes to simplify the page to make it as simple as I could, and yet it is still complex. Maybe you could take a look at it and help simplify it? Razorflame 21:24, 8 February 2008 (UTC)[reply]

I simplified it a bit, and removed some stuff, like the main article links and Wiktionary template because the page does not exist at Simple English Wiktionary. Cheers, Lights § talk 21:56, 8 February 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Awesome! Thanks for the help :) I needed it because Gravitation is a very complex topic, and I tried to make it as simple as possible. My brain hurt after I finished my simplification of that page, it was that hard! Razorflame 02:52, 9 February 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Good articles[change source]

You know of any articles that should be put up for good article status? Let me know if you think of any. I'm going through the show any page link to look for possible good articles. Razorflame 19:26, 9 February 2008 (UTC)[reply]

I think some articles on countries could be put up for GA status (ex. Canada, United States, and probably a lot more). I'll also go through the show any page link later and let you know if I find any. Cheers, Lights § talk 19:30, 9 February 2008 (UTC)[reply]
I proposed both Canada and United States for GA status. I also proposed one of the articles that I've created for GA status. Lenzburg. Do you think that this article lives up to GA status like I think it does? Razorflame 19:39, 9 February 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Yeah, seems pretty good. Would it be your first GA? Lights § talk 19:41, 9 February 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Yes, it would be my first GA. Have a looksie at this article: Messiah (Handel). I just added an Other websites section, so I think that it meets the requirements for GA. Do you think so? Razorflame 19:54, 9 February 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Yes, I think it meets the requirements for a GA. I think it would have more chances of passing if it had an image or two, but other than that, it looks fine to me. Lights § talk 19:59, 9 February 2008 (UTC)[reply]

(unindenting) I also put up Joss Whedon for GA status, because I definitely think that it meets all the requirements. You agree? Razorflame 20:01, 9 February 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Agree. Lights § talk 20:02, 9 February 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Why don't you go check out the Wikipedia:Proposals for good articles page? (WP:PGA if that page isn't good)? Razorflame 20:04, 9 February 2008 (UTC)[reply]
 Done Lights § talk 20:08, 9 February 2008 (UTC)[reply]

(unindenting) I just unfroze the process for the demotion of VGA's because the criteria for GA's has been decided. I believe that that was the right thing to do. You agree? Razorflame 20:10, 9 February 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Agree. Lights § talk 21:16, 9 February 2008 (UTC)[reply]
