answered qs[change source]

do the same ppl look at -{-helpme-}- that look at https://simple.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia:Simple_talk or is it different ppl?

  1. Nope. I don't think anybody looks at help me. I saw this from recent changes.
    1. lol...

**how many "featured, good or better" articles are there in simple wiki compare to regular wiki?**[change source]

  1. Barely any. We usually don't have time to make GAs and VGAs (featured articles here) as we have few editors experienced and willing enough to do the job. Even Neptune's nomination is a mess here. I don't understand what a "better" article is on en wiki but it isn't here.

when https://simple.wikipedia.org/wiki/Simple_English_Wikipedia was made did a machine get all the articles from regular wiki and the machine smartely auto-translated and simplified all the articles?

  1. Nope. Machines are absolute trash at this. Editors do it themselves.

Better AI/ML

is there a diff team or person that runs simple wiki or is it the same as regular wiki?

  1. The simple wiki has a completely different team of admins. It is still run by Wikimedia though.

does your settings in regular wiki carry over or sync with simple wiki? doesnt seem like it, it should tho why doesnt it?

  1. Not yet. There are different settings as well.

settings should be basically the same... shouldnt be too different would be confusing

More answers[change source]

  1. No need for you to know, its between me and Frontfrog.
  2. I guess lol
  3. Yes, but they are extremely weird. IDK. I use RedWarn and its broken.
  4. Probably for the simple vocabulary I guess.
  5. If there was a better AI, wouldn't we use it?
  6. I just put this line so the numbering makes sense.
  7. Ask SHB2000
  8. Not too different, just different vocabulary

Also, idk, I have a universal account. You just have to log in different projects. Ely - Talk 08:19, 3 September 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Here's the nomination btw. Ely - Talk 08:20, 3 September 2021 (UTC)[reply]
@Elytrian: I presume you want me to answer this question:
are there the wiki features that are in regular wiki the same as in same simple.wikipedia.org - does simple.wikipedia.org have the same features as regular wiki? liek editor etc
Most of the beta features that are available on other projects are also here. The only one that I can think of that is not here, is mw:Flow, and the only project that I use it on is on the French Wikivoyage (it isn't even on the English Wikivoyage, nor even the English Wikipedia). Other MediaWiki features such as rollback are standard to all projects. For admins, it's the same, except that some features of admins differ by project and from my experience, it's more with the user groups, because not all wikis have a rollback user group, some have groups like patroller.
Other features like Twinkle, RedWarn and Huggle are only on set wikis. You could use m:TwinkleGlobal, but that only does the very basic things. RedWarn is only on two projects that I know of (en and simple), unless I'm missing something. Not sure about Huggle. Other scripts like m:SWViewer are global, but there's a separate application for that, and is what we on the m:SWMT do.
Does that answer your question GovGuide? Oh, and please don't call the English Wikipedia as the regular wiki. Wikipedia is not the only WMF project (there's Commons, Meta, Wikibooks, Wikispecies, Wikivoyage, Wikiversity, Wikisource, Wikinews, Wikidata, Wikiquote and the Incubator each with different languages). There was a proposal to rename the Wikimedia Foundation as Wikipedia last year in which there were about 95% of people who opposed the change, and the only 5% or so were the ones that thought that Wikipedia was the only WMF project.
Also to Elytrian, about this: Also, idk, I have a universal account. You just have to log in different projects, yes, all accounts are now global and you could just use your SUL. There are some exceptions like Wikitech, but you cannot compare Wikitech to other projects.
Hope that helps, SHB2000 (talk) 10:27, 3 September 2021 (UTC)[reply]
@Elytrian Redwarn doesn’t work on simple. It was made for EN. PDLTalk to me!OMG, What have I done? (Pronouns: He, him, his) 02:45, 5 September 2021 (UTC)[reply]
I know that. I just use its semi broken form. Ely - Talk 05:21, 5 September 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Need help?[change source]

@GovGuide: Hi GovGuide, I see you're in the category called users asking for help. But it looks like your problem has been resolved, is that true? If no, I can see if I can help.

Best, User:TwilightCuddle453 (talk to me please!) (talk)

(talk page stalker) That is up to the discretion of GovGuide although I think Elytrian has answered most of them. p.s. there is no need to ping someone on their very own talk page SHB2000 (talk) 23:27, 3 September 2021 (UTC)[reply]
@SHB2000 and Elytrian: Actually, the helper should change the {{helpme}} template to {{helped}} once they feel they have answered the questions. The person asking the questions can change the helped template back to helpme if they feel they need more help, or just add another helpme template. --Ferien (talk) 17:06, 2 November 2021 (UTC)[reply]
I see. SHB2000 (talk) 19:49, 2 November 2021 (UTC)[reply]
