Red
[change source]I think that writers here are okay about a page having many red-wiki-links. However, if you do want to "turn the link from red to blue", I have two suggestions. The 1st suggestion is that { { Interlanguage link|English article title|language code|Title in foreign language } } is not allowed here. Template:Interlanguage link - Simple English Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia I think dark-green color is designated for "inter language link", but here the links are either red or blue, anyways. The 2nd suggestion is to link towards an English Wikipedia Article name with a stable name (not likely to change soon). It is because, let's say, if you create a link for en:Iran–Israel war now, sometime later, it might change to "Iran-Israel conflict of 2025", because the war can somehow come to an end (Iran & Israel have peace for the next 10 years). The 3rd suggestion is that people with common names (John Smith) may result in articles with different names. John Smith (pianist); John Smith (physicist). Pay attention so that the "blue link" does not lead the reader to the wrong article in English Wikipedia, cheers mates. Yilangderen (talk) 05:49, 20 June 2025 (UTC)

By the way, I think the Wikipedia:Interwiki page should explain what is allowed, and what is not allowed. Yilangderen (talk) 03:17, 25 June 2025 (UTC)
Link specificity
[change source]If there is no article about the most specific topic, do one of the following things:
- Consider creating the article yourself.
- If an article on the specific topic does not yet exist, create a redirect page to the article about a more general topic, as described in section § Redirects. For example, if no article yet exists on the song "Sad Statue" from the album Mezmerize, create a new article called Sad Statue that is a redirect to the article Mezmerize.
- If there is no article on a more general topic either, then create a red link, but first, read § Red links below.
When neither a redirect nor a red link appears appropriate, consider linking to a more general article instead.
For example, instead of
Baroque hairstyles (an article which, as of 2023, had never been created),
write
Baroque hairstyles (which provides a link to the Baroque era),
Baroque hairstyles (which provides a link to the article on hairstyle),
Baroque hairstyles (which provides no link at all, and which may be preferable depending on context),
or
hairstyles of the Baroque (which provides separate links to both topics);
however, do not create
Baroque hairstyles as two adjacent links because they may be misinterpreted as linking to a single article on that topic.
- and
"If an existing article has a section specifically about a topic, linking to that section takes the reader directly to the relevant information... the § character." https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia:Manual_of_Style/Linking "Section links" can be very handy, so, keep up the good work! Hello, welcome back! I thought you might like a picture of the Milky Way as its commonly associated with peace in astronomy. Enjoy! ⯎ Asteralee ⯎ 15:58, 21 June 2025 (UTC)
