Bold claim/neutral article?

What's neutral about an article that treats people's claims that they are being discriminated against as undebatable?...I don't think that anyone in favor of policies transgender activists complain about thinks those policies are a matter of discrimination against people rather than equal application of standards to all people.--12.144.5.2 (talk) 00:17, 15 March 2020 (UTC)[reply]

I don't believe for a single instant that it's within anyone's bounds to argue that all people against transsexualism believe in what you added to the article (that is very firmly not a fact). While I see this as an important point to note in the article - that some people disagree with how it's acceptance should be pushed - I neither find the wording of the addition neutral nor sourced. Please tread a little more carefully with a topic of this nature. Hiàn (talk) 00:34, 15 March 2020 (UTC)[reply]
There is nothing neutral about the article as long as it implies outright that to view acceptance of transsexualism negatively is necessarily to be prejudiced against people rather than to disagree about practices. How would you word acknowledgement that people disagree about this neutrally?--12.144.5.2 (talk) 00:49, 15 March 2020 (UTC)[reply]
I don't believe it's in my place to decide that, considering I'm not keen on getting involved in a topic like this. I would start at least, with an acknowledgement that certain people disagree over these practices, and with a reliable, third-party source. Hiàn (talk) 00:54, 15 March 2020 (UTC)[reply]
A general statement is more useful than any particular source and any particular source will find itself criticized.(This is one of my biggest beefs with wikiculture:when information is ubiquitous in nature the selection of any specific source to be what is cited constitutes an act of bias and is entirely a bad thing for the article). From lesbian radfems to religious rightwingers (I am neither!) advocacy for negative policies toward trans identities is based on criticism of practices as unreasonable for any person.A person attached to those practices frequently takes the criticism of their practices as a personal affront but the motives of the critic are not (to the critic at least) rarely what the person taking offense at the criticism asserts.Quoting a radfem or a bible-thumper would in each case invite ascribing those particular details to all critics.--12.144.5.2 (talk) 01:12, 15 March 2020 (UTC)[reply]

After reverting vandalism

When you revert vandalism, please be sure to leave a warning for the person who did the vandalism. If you had left warnings for user Moneyballer123 for each of the reverts you did on his changes, we could have blocked him by now as a vandalism-only account. --Auntof6 (talk) 04:14, 23 April 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Sorry about that Auntof6. In hindsight I should've probably left a higher-tiered warning, but I'll note that the reverts were done all at once and I didn't find it constructive to (1) put multiple warnings at once nor (2) escalate immediately to uw-4. Hiàn (talk) 04:16, 23 April 2020 (UTC)[reply]
Leavng the lower-level warning was good, and leaving multiple warnings would be fine. Leaving a level 3 or 4 warning to start doesn't give the user as much time to see that they need to stop what they're doing. --Auntof6 (talk) 17:16, 23 April 2020 (UTC)[reply]

┌─────────────────────────────────┘
(talk page stalker) @Thegooduser: It's also a question of how many changes you're going to make during a given time period. The purpose of the flood flag is to not make things difficult for people who monitor recent changes. You also need to follow the rules of having the flood flag. Among other things, the rules include doing only the approved task while you have the flood flag, even if you have to wait for an admin to remove the flag when you're done. And, as was mentioned, it's best to request the flag at WP:AN instead of on an individual admin's talk page. If you don't have the flag, it's usually OK to make around 100 of the same kind of change without the flag. --Auntof6 (talk) 22:05, 29 April 2020 (UTC)[reply]
